Well, this is awkward…Alison Rapp, whom many had lambasted Nintendo for firing, seems to have been a high profile escort in the Seattle area, going by the name Maria Mint. Needless to say, it's not the sort of thing a PR rep for Nintendo should be doing.

Regardless of how you feel about the sources, the evidence is pretty damning. This is a huge development. Who knows what could come of this, or how it will be spun? One can already hear the rumors and accusations: "Is this how Rapp got her job, despite having a twitter history that should have made her unemployable by any company trying to be “family friendly” in America? Did she have any clients in the gaming/media business? Zoe Quinn 2.0!" Etc.

I don't know what to think of this. I guess this is what Nintendo was trying to explain when they talked about why they fired her.. Though it's not impossible that someone's just out to get her. Who knows.

This won't deter SJWs and the regressive left at all.  They will twist all of this any way they can so that they can push their agenda with buzzwords like 'misogyny', 'sexism', 'harassment' and 'slut-shaming'.  They've invested too much into making Rapp a martyr and they won't back down -- they never back down.  They will probably continue their attempt to publicly shame Nintendo unless they capitulate.  I mean, look at that petition that's still up demanding an apology from Reggie and NOA.  All the evidence is piled up exonerating Nintendo from blame and they're still attacking -- they still haven't even come close to reaching 1k signatures but they're still pushing it even though the description for it reads like something from a cult.

People are still going against her, even after making her getting fired?
I guess they don't know what cyberbullying is, huh?

Oh boy, this is not gonna go well...

Prediction: this will be a measured and respectful thread in which the opinions of others will be discussed civilly, nobody makes sweeping generalizations, and nobody forgets that this is still unproven.

1. Nintendo has stated that the cause of her firing was something other than GamerGate.

2. This is some pretty incriminating stuff. The explanation Nintendo gave for her firing seems to make a lot more sense if this is true. This is, in all honesty, the more likely reason why she got fired.

I put the blame on the gaming media and SJWs --- they're the ones that put a giant magnifying glass on Rapp to the general public.  They're the ones that got outside groups like The Wayne Foundation interested in what was going on.  They're the ones that forced Nintendo to issue a statement on why Rapp was fired when they went on their premature media blitz which gave 3rd party trolls a trail to follow and eventually find out what her 2nd job was.  The rest of us were just watching the gaming media and SJWs essentially trip over themselves trying to get one over those 'gamergaters' which ended up creating a tantalizing situation for 3rd party trolls to uncover the secret life of a Nintendo employee.
