No, there's not a good chance the NX fails. That's not how consumer products work. A good product isn't going to fail just because it released in some imaginary timeslot relevant to only the people making consoles. If the NX is what I've been saying it is, and it likely will be, it's going to absolutely dominate gaming when it launches, matching the Wii/DS combined when they came out, but with legs that last. PS4K and XBO (and Vita, poor thing) won't stand a change against that. If the PS4 is Blackberry and the XBO is the sidekick, Nintendo's going to run train launching their first generation iPhone, and console gaming is never going to be the same.

I do think they'll add shit to all of them. They just don't need to. Most people have never played these games, and they're all effectively still new.

Yeah Nintendo fans always think Nintendo's products will be massively successful, reality often brings them back down to life, a good chunk of this board though the Wii U would be a big success too. 

We'll see. 

Even if the situation was reversed and Sony was launching 3 years late ... they probably would be fucked too. I don't care if they had Uncharted 4 and GOW at launch, I don't care if they had great marketing, they would be in very tough. Nintendo is in a bad position because of the terrible Wii U generation, the Dreamcast and GameCube were massive improvements for both companies, but both bombed too because it was far too little, too late. 

Just making a good product is often not good enough. So my perspective is whatever they CAN control, as in making an effort on their game releases to make they're the best they can be rather than what is Nintendo's attitude far too often which is -- we're going to do the bare minimum and that's OK because you should be excited because we're Nintendo, is one that's problematic.

Exactly. I think they tried doing this with releasing Zelda remasters and we see where that got them. Neither Wind Waker HD or TPHD are doing anything for the system. 

Fact is that Wii U lineup would be even more barren without Zelda remastered, and of course you can't compare WW HD and TP HD in any case with Zelda U, because Zelda U is brand new game while WW HD and TP HD are HD remasters of old games.

Like I wrote, ports/remasters are great like filler in release schedule between completely new games. So dont expect all those Wii U ports at launch, only game that is almost certain for launch is Zelda U, but when Zelda U will arrive it will basically be completely new game not port of old Wii U game like other possible ports.

I find it absolutely hilarious that so many people take this bullshit for granted. This and the zelda stuff emily rogers said both sound fake as hell and have no evidence whatsoever to support it. Therefore it should be assumed it's fake.

Now, remember that if NX is wii u's replacement, you won't see any port that isn't like the new play control series from the wii. Backwards compatibility and downloads from e-shop already cover wii u games.

PS3 has a lot of games that didn't get ported, Wii U only has a handful of exclusives and nothing else. And Nintendo only ported Metroid and some B-tier titles from Gamecube to Wii. Lotsa Wii U games also will not be ported, fact is that almost best PS3 exlusives get ported to PS4.

From GC to Wii we get ported, Pikmin 1, Pikmin 2, Metroid 1, Metroid 2 and Zelda Twilight Princes. So thats 5 AAA titles, not single one B-tier title, and we here talking about 4 Wii U games that will be ported to NX.

Again, how exactly Nintendo is screwing Wii U owners buy porting some Wii U games to completely new platform when Wii U will be dead in every way after NX comes on market!? How exactly port of some Wii U games to new platform after its released affect on me like Wii U owner!? Like I wrote, it same like you saying Sony screwed PS3 owners because they ported some exclusives to PS4, or Nintendo screwed GC owners because they ported some games to Wii...it doesnt make any sense.

It's very logical that Nintendo will port some very popular games from failed system that only small number people played to completely new platform, they would port some games even Wii U didnt failed, Sony did that, PS3 is successful and they port lotsa exclusives to PS4.

This has nothing to do with being a Nintendo fan.  The product they are going to put on the market is going to change the industry. It would be the same no matter who did it. It just so happens that Nintendo is doing it. We will see.

The Wii U will have a whopping 0 about of impact on the sales of the NX. It's a different product with a different branding. Making a good product is always good enough. No one will be excited because they're Nintendo. They'll be excited because the NX will be a dope platform that will allow you to play your games in a dope way not possible before in the way it's being done with NX.
