Ethically speaking, of course it is.You are getting pleasure off an animation of a very young boy and/or girl.Though if you go by law, I odnt think there are any restrictions(that I know of).And in my opinion, there are certain lines that you shoudlnt cross.Sexual implications im fine with, like many animes have, but actual depiction of sexual act or imagery I find it wrong. You may say that its only fiction, and its better this than real children, but that can be a doorway for trying the real thing, much like an drug addict usually start with weak drugs, like weed, and goes to stronger ones in search of a stronger reaction.

And imagination can open similar doorways for trying the real thing, lots of things do.

I don't think VR can push closted pedophiles to want to cross the line and do the real thing.

It's already established that pornography addicts have less with real humans thanks to porn. Who is to say VR won't have similar effects on everyone, including closeted pedophiles?

I am not necessarily convinced with what I am saying, just playing the devil's advocate.

Well, you do have a point. But I still find it wrong to do anyways. We have morals for a reason, and even if maybe it has like a 5% chance of doing some good, I think we should sit this one out, because its too morbid. There is a good reason why some things are seen as bad, even though they are not straight out prohibited.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

You better close the door before you start up VR!

It's not illegal to mod a nude celebrity into a game and have them commit sexual acts. It is illegal to mod a child into a game and have it commit sexual acts. All VR does is change the perspective.

The line has been drawn pretty clear on this one, guys.

There are, at least in the US. Any explicit depiction of a child commiting a sexual act is considered child pornography, real, fake, or animated.

People will always be corrupt. They'll always take something innocent and turn it inside out. It's human nature. I can't say if it's ethically wrong...that's not really my judgement to make, but I won't indulge in it.

Why does VR bring up the question. This already happens.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Yeah, just like video game violence leads to real life violence! Stay safe, kids! Don't try those dangerous things, they will ruin your lives. Or something. Maybe not at all.

"I don't think VR can push closted pedophiles to want to cross the line and do the real thing." Me neither. I would never personally support something like that, but I have no issue with things people do in private as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

It is a difficult thing though, when technology moves much faster than laws and moral/ethical discussions. There could be some pretty advanced and realistic rape simulators in the future, and we might need to have a proper discussion about that when it happens. Right now however, I don't see any need for bans or restrictions.

I feel that pornography as a whole is ethically immoral.

I personally don't think like that, but I haven't given it much thought. Care to elaborate?

Well Pornographic content is not morally correct in the first place. If the persons in it are below 18 years it is illegal and his viewers and uploaders should be punished, whether it is in VR or on a screen. Spread fake pics or altering the appearance of celebrities and making them nude in Videogames should be punishable as well.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I don't think there is anything wrong with this, aside from the children aspect. This is already done with fanfiction, comics strip, and 3d rendered adult videos. It has done no harm, and I don't believe that doing the same thing in a new format, VR, will changes that at all.

I for one cannot wait to have VR sex with pikachu, and I know you are thinking the same thing. (This is a joke, do not take it seriously or out of context.)
