Forums - Nintendo - About Alison Rapp case.

Here's the bottom line ... just because you think someone censored a video game doesn't give you the right to harrass them and cyberstalk them with the intent of getting them fired. I don't care what her second job was.

GG is going to find that the majority of gamers, yes, even male gamers will turn against them if they continue this BS of bullying people and in this case it was completely unwarranted as she not only had zero to do with what they were pissed off about (a stupid boob slider in a video game), she actually agreed with them, but they decided to harass her incessentantly.

Gamergate is claiming they never harassed her and only found out about her after the fact. This article is claiming it was a 4chan group that attacked her.

Personally I wouldn't have an issue if Gamergate did attack her. I have no sympathy for someone who wants to show sympathy to pedophiles.

She was saying that in Japanese culture the sexualization of younger women in pop culture is more common place ... how is she even getting attacked for that? Isn't that what the GG types are angry about, that their precious boob sliders and what not are getting censored and that their games are getting de-sexualized? You can't have it both ways here.

This situation is so beyond stupid it's ridiculous. Like they decided to get mad at somone who had nothing to do with what they were angry about and ironically actually supports what they actually want.

I don't think you have the full story here. She posted a tweet saying she was mad that a guy was arressted for having Child Porn. She also said people under the age of 18 should be sexualized. She was also advocating for less severe punishment for pedophiles. I also don't think it's a conicindence that she is defending podophila so much while at the same time being a sex worker.

The reason she was attacked was because a bunch of idiots thought she had Xenoblade's boob sensor removed. Everything after that turned into a complete and utter gong show of stupidity.

Bottom line, Nintendo fired her because she is an escort girl!
Anything you might add to that is drama or bs!!!

Stop defending a pedophile just because she's a woman. You're reminding me of this:

No, that is not bottom line - there are trolls out there, of the mean, vicious kind, for just about any reason imaginable, and someone in PR position HAS to know how to handle them in this day and age - her incompetence as PR alone was enough for Nintendo to fire her, let alone all other stuff.

Bottom line actually is how gaming press treated this "case", not being objective, siding with her as a martyr and blaming Nintendo for firing her, and now that there's more info, trying (along with some forums and their SJWs) to sweep it under the rug.and to keep the classic bogeyman narrative of "GG harrassed her".

Yeah I agree with this.

It's fairly simple, Nintendo themselves said the reason she was fired was because of a second job she had that they didn't like, which then turned out to be that she was an escort girl while being a spokesperson for Nintendo.

It sucks that she was targeted, and especially if it was for nothing she even had a part in etc, etc but that has nothing to do with the actual fact for why she was fired.

She shouldn't have had another job like that in the first place, especially one as being an escort while working at a huge family-friendly company. It's her fault, she should have expected this to happen when Nintendo eventually found out anyway.

So basically anyone who is dubbed a "feminist" is open game to be cyberstalked, bullied online, and should have their life put under a microscope by hackers even in cases where really they did nothing wrong?

I don't like Sarkesian, but at the same time I don't believe you have the right to start throwing out death threats and the engage in this type of behavior because you disagree over *video games* with them.

It's insane and "gamers" who think this is a good look for the community are sadly mistaken. This is not going to end anywhere well or anything to be proud of if these types of things continue.

These idiots don't represent me as a gamer, fuck them. If they're so interested in "men's rights" why don't they "man up" and take off the cloak of anonominity and show themselves in full disclosure so they can account for their action and have their own personal life turned inside out and see how they enjoy it?

This is not really logically that far off from the justification ISIS sympathizers use "well they insulted the prophet by drawing a cartoon so they deserved to be shot" or "this is all consipracy by the West, but they deserved it anyway". If you disagree with someone fine, have a civil discussion about it and have your voice heard. You don't have the right to start terrorizing a person's personal life and I'm never going to be supportive of that type of behavior, it's disgusting.
