Yea, I believe at least 2 sources in GAF laughed at some thinking it would be more powerful than the PS4.  Even if it is, it'll only be slightly above.  Combine this with the controller with expensive tech, yet again, and I'm guessing this is launching at $399, while the PS4 will be $299 by the time this launches.  Not good for Nintendo.  Even worse...only 1-2 more years after NX comes out until the much more powerful PS5 is launched.

The controller being able to run games itself would kinda cool like a mid-tier smartphone, but the rest of it ...

Some Nintendo fans may think "a little better than PS4" is the bees knees, but for 2017 that's nothing impressive and I don't see it really wooing many consumers. It would be similar to the Wii U, a little bit better than the PS3/360, released several years afterwards with a screen on the controller. That didn't work so well last time, not sure why it would now. 

Controller will again be expensive... I think if its like the PS4 or better, and has a expensive controller, it ll probably be 399$ or more.

PS4 is nothing special. If Nintendo's making a "conventional console" and PS4 is what they're aiming for, they're in big trouble, PS4 is an old piece of tech, this would be the Wii U mistake all over again of making something just slightly better than par of the PS3/360.

NX needs to be more interesting than that. That's just not good enough. 

Well if Sony changes focus to the PSVR in marketing then there's an admittedly small chance that the tides would turn. Why buy a console with a shifted focus over a dedicated console, on paper. It won't happen that way but there's an argument to be had that it very well could.

As spemanig mentioned it was proven fake. The leaker said the NX used DDR5 not GDDR5 and DDR5 doesn't exist.
