No online no buy.
Anyone expecting a long road from the start of the game to the credits roll will probably be disappointed. Star Fox Zero looks like it's going to have a lot of rail shooting, and rail shooters tend to be pretty short to play. The open fully 3D action areas will probably pad the length, but I wouldn't expect more than 3 hours for a single play through of the campaign. Of course, that's what the multiple unlockable paths and levels are for.

I don't even think Star Fox Zero has a competitive multiplayer mode, but okay. I'm not really sure why you need online play in a single player rail-shooter, though.

Usually, no. Once you go for the unlocked path. The other path would be skipped over. Unless the game allows backtracking.

XDDDD. Star Fox = Nothing Simulator 2016 confirmed. I have a legit source who told me that, with some NX controller pictures.

Yeah, I've always expected a 2 hours long campaign. The only thing that worries me is the replayability factor, and how many paths could be take. Star Fox 64 had 3 different paths (well, more paths if you want, but you have easy/medium/hard path more or less) and 15 planets. The lose of 4 planets is substantial. Unless the lenght of the levels is superior, which might compensate in the end for the lack of planets.
It looks like the short time to create assets are undermining the game on a certain level.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
Not much to say other than the fact that I love the name 'Venom' for a final level. It's great. Not the biggest fan of Star Fox (I like the 1st one best and find 64 okay...I actually do like Adventures) but hopefully this game is worth a purchase.
Hi
Well, this was always the argument for some people doubting there would be a new entry on the series. I knew that would be a hard sell, because, well, ALL rail shooters are pretty short, for a 60 dollar game. But i still want that to be a rail shoooter, because that is what i really want from this franchise.
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Well, what little we've seen of the free-flight areas already looks way more substantial than the simple arenas of SF64. I imagine that that, along with Star Fox Guard, is what'll compensate for the loss of planets.
Not sure if all planets will have more than 1 path but if the do that will help with the replay value so 11 planets is ok (plus we still need to see the lenght of them)

Same, or just wait for it to be cheaper. I wasn't ever planning on pay full price anyways, but maybe online coulda changed that. (play the story though all paths and get 10-30 hours from online would help give it more value)
