F2P, you joker... that 50 bucks must be a fee to play more than one time every 30min. |
You get a free character every month, dojo, survival mode and the free stage. It's f2p.

If you bought DLC that included new characters, you upgraded to a version not compatible with players that didn't upgrade. You can't play online with somebody playing a different version. SFIV, SSFIV, SSFIV:AE, and USFIV are not compatible with each other. You can only play against opponents playing the same version you have. No excuses, that sucked. KI doesn't have that problem, if you bought Season 1 only you still can play with people who purchase Season 2 and 3 content. |
Understood, lesser evil. But still the pricing per DLC is quite ridiculous.

No... They rotate the free character. I don't use the free version so I don't know how often they change it. |
Ok

All the seasons have been $20 UNLESS you're buying versions that include extra content (costumes, arcade games, extra points, etc.). You're grasping at straws trying to compare this to SFIV, time to give it a rest. |
No straws, SF IV DLC were in the same price range. And the new on the OP as I read was that Season 3 costed 50,00.

YOu get a new or as Pugsly informed they change the free char? And most F2P don't limit as much the content and usually have that sick habit of charging pretty high for power ups.

If SFV released with a 30$ version and a 50$ version that let you get all the characters day one without grinding for characters it would have less complains.

Anyone else hate this pricing?
I just can't justify a fighting game being more than $15 or $20 dollars. Thats how much I got DOA2U on the xbox, and it lasted me months. Since then, fighting games have been getting dire and dire. The recent SF isn't even worth $10 in my books.
I'd love to pick up KI and support the devs, but I can't like this.

If you love fighting game, you owe to yourself to play KI.
$20 a season is a deal to me for this great playing game.
I cannot reason to pay for most games as well.

I've been playing KI regularly since launch so I didnt mind spending the money.
But if a game isnt worth full price to you, wait for discounts.
