I don't think so.

Looks like now is the time for me to buy a new console and leave it sealed in my closet for future profit. This thing is going to be Dreamcast 2. Future hipsters will be buying these things up like vinyl in a decade.

I think it's way too soon to jump to conclusions about the NX.

He has a point. People who just bought their Wii U are gonna be so pissed. My friend literally just bought one too and if they stop making games for it at the end of 2016 then wow. It's seriously just crappy to treat your consumers like this. And that's something you can't argue |
Oh come on now, this happens with EVERY console. I remember seeing parents buying their kids a PS1 in the summer of 2000 and wanting to inform them of the mistake they were making. It happens all the time.
Good. While I have really enjoyed my Wii U and the 20+ games I own for it, it needs to be buried ASAP. Hopefully, the NX will rectify all of its mistakes.

How can one bargain in this situation?
This reveal is surprising, but the overreaction of some of you is more surprising (and kind of funny).
Let's face it, Wii U has been a complete disaster for Nintendo and they want to forget about it as soon as they can.
Please excuse my bad English.

lol, possibly. I might pick up a second Wii U if they price them on clearance as a collector's item for down the road.

Consumers don't get the right to determine how long a platform is supported, their only entitled to vote with their wallets so hurt the corporation where it hurts most ...
Their bank accounts ...

Eh, to be honest 10 minutes of research on the internet would have told you there was an imminent chance of the system being on the way out.
Nintendo announcing NX a full year ago should have been a clear sign to any reasonable person.
I said this exact thing in "Should I buy a Wii U now?" type threads on this board many times when most posters were saying "buy one! buy one!" ... I said buyer beware. Buy one now for the games it has now which are fun, but don't expect a lot in the future.
