Oh absolutely, I definitely hide my brony-ness IRL because its associated with sooo much cringe. I'd absolutely rate the worst of the furry fandom as a whole higher than the worst of the MLP fandom, for sure. I've identified as a brony for at least 2.5 years, and I've followed so many of pony-famous people and seen their fans. Very interesting community.

Both of these fandoms do draw in a lot of socially awkward people, and give them a place where they become normal. Its kinda awesome, really, but it also means that instead of adapting to the social norm, they embrace and celebrate their weirdness. Add a suit to that, I.E. anonimity, and people act out even more. Not everyone, I don't wanna bring out the large brush and generalize such a large and diverse group, but... There's a lot of it.

Convention-goers are kinda the same, especially the cosplayers.

(I'm going to a large con third year in a row, and I'm actually gonna cosplay this year :o My sister has worked at that con for 5 years. We've both seen and heard some supercringey stuff. Both also had many nice experiences, again, most people are sweet.)

I've seen some professional ones, and they usually sell for 1000-3000 dollars. That's intense o.o But they're beautiful!! Amazing craftmanship.

This seems like such an obvious way to do it, unless you're going all out and want a large and expensive one. I feel like I've never seen this type before though. Is it common? Am I just blind? :o

Most of her stuff (tasteful stuff) is fairly tame though I find, but still good!

I immediately thought of the Renamon that Slugbox did, but as with most of his art, I can't feature it here :P

I wondered about the limits on this thread for a bit though... like the OP outlines some guidelines but covered in furr is fine no doubt? like, no visible nipples or stuff... just furr and Renamon.

The helmet needs a lot of work, and I'm missing an entire wing. Lots of little details and polish left. I have a pair of really sweet lenses, and I'm gonna try and make me some pointy, scary teeth.
