It might be too early to tell, but it seems my Fairy Tail fears might have been assuaged. Gajeel meeting Zera now could mean many things...but it seems promising that he's already re-entered the story. Same with Zera...but Mavis' power is so ridiculous it could just be that she can make illusions real.

Other than that, I guess Hiro is forcing the arc to finish quickly by forcing everyone around. Definitely a dumb plot device...but oh well, I wasn't that attached to the current pacing anyway.

In other news...that caveman omake was amazing. I was dying when Natsu took Lucy as his property. Of course, boners are the greatest weapon of all.

It's been a lil while since I did an update on the manga I follow...

Well, I finished Hirunaka no Ryuusei, and well.... It was okay..? I dunno. I liked the main girl. She's weird and makes the funniest faces, but the manga was just... okay. It was mostly about love? And she was juggling between 2 guys, some things happened, and... she picked one. I dunno. I felt the story wasn't that exciting. I enjoyed reading it moreso because Yosano was a funny character to watch her... do things. Aside from that, it was an.. okay romance manga I guess?

Also, anyone here read Yamada and the 7 Witches? That's one I'm currently following...

I watched the Yamada and 7 witches anime. I tried some of the manga and it was ok. I will come back to it some time. I'm busy catching up on Nise Koi.

I watched the two seasons then forgot about it. I picked up the manga where season 1 ends and gone from there. On 195 right now.

Oh, how was the anime? I haven't watched that, but I did watch the live drama one, and that was pretty fun to watch. I gotta admit Yamada is okay. I think it had a good start and idea, but then that ends and rather than ending the story, it just... keeps going even know. At this point, I'm not sure why it's still going, aside from giving the author something to continue on. It still has some funny moments, but I can see why it should have ended long ago.

Cool on catching up with Nisekoi also. I get the feeling it's going to end real soon.

Oh man...just a few more until you get to my favorite chapter.  I was on a road trip with my family when 199 came out...and I'm pretty sure I read that chapter like 30 times on my phone. Heck...I think I'll go read it again!

The anime wasn't terrible...but it was incredibly rushed. Manga fans complain about this in anime a lot, but this is probably one of the worst offenders of it honestly. It adapted the first 90 chapters and condensed them into 12 episodes...and so a ton of of plot points and dialogue was removed, and most of the characters barely did anything. I watched the anime first, and Yamada, Shiraishi, Miyamura, and Odagiri are the only characters that really left an impression on me.

As for the manga...I've more or less dropped it. I enjoyed the humor, but I can't build up the motivation to keep reading when i don't really care what's going on. I have too manga in my backlog to keep reading something that I'm extremely lukewarm about.

Still, I enjoyed the first 90 chapters a lot, so if I never come back to it, I'll look back on that part of the story alone.

Yeah, I figured they condensed it into a tiny series. Considering where the manga was at, there's no way they would be able to fit it all. I figure the novelty would come from watching it move in action as an anime, as well as the quirky moments. I don't think I would mind it much, but... I dunno, I guess I'm not in the zone to try watching it. The manga is enough for me, and unless you're caught up with the series, I don't think there would be much incentive for people to continue with it past the initial arc.

Super_Boom is right, the anime was way too rushed.  I enjoyed it but it bugged me that so much meaningful stuff was skipped.  Ultimately, it made it feel a lot more shallow than the manga.  I enjoyed the live action more than the anime, perhaps because it felt different enough that it was its own thing.  As for the manga, I loved it up until the Reset and then ... I just stopped reading it.  I think I would rather it ended around that point, as I don't have much desire to go back to it.  Still, the opening arc of the Yamada-kun manga was excellent and I'm glad I read it.

I read Hirunaka no Ryuusei for awhile, a long time ago.  I thought the main character was great but the narrative did not hook me at all and I dropped it.

I've started reading Again!!, which is kind of funny, as it was one of my first manga and one I expressly started reading because I'd just finished Yankee-kun to Megane-chan and went looking for more "delinquent" manga.  I enjoyed it quite a bit but then it didn't get updated for a long time and I forgot about it.  It sounds kind of typical in description but I liked it quite a bit, at least as far as I've read.  I'm starting over again now.

It's about a boy who reached high school graduation without ever making a single friend.  He was from out of town and had a scary appearance.  His big regret was that he never spoke with the person who had the biggest impact on him, the girl who was the only member of the Cheer Club (not Cheerleaders, but the (usually) guys who used to yell and lead chants).  She was loud and odd looking and people made fun of her but she struck a chord in him.  Unfortunately, that never happened and his life only went downhill from there.  Now, though, he ends up in an accident and finds himself once more at his high school entrance ceremony.  There are some more twists than that and it's also not only about fixing his life but I don't want to give more away.

If you ever find yourself thrown back into the past, DON'T BE LIKE THIS PERSON!

Since im a shoujo fan I really liked Hirunaka no Ryuusei. The main girl did stand out for me. She was quite different tonother shoujo female leads. The 2 guys did stand out as well in my perspective. I always like some teacher romance and a guy who BLUSHES!!!!!! Thankgod the rival girl didn't went the "Fuck this bitch I want to kill her" route XD.

And Yes I did read Yamada before tha anime aired (which I did not watch, but might seach for video which shows all the kiss scenes in action XD ) The idea of it and the characters kept me soooo intrigued! I only read up to where it seem like its the halfway mark (where a "new story or arc began"). I always like these supernatural powers set in a normal environment. And this was one of the first few mangas I have read!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Anyone here reading or read any of these? Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru, Black Haze, The Gamer, Tal, Noblesse, White Epic, Tower Of God, Tough, UQ Holder, Hajime No Ippo, Panlong, Soul Cartel, The Breaker/The Breaker New Waves, The Seven Deadly Sins, Hinomaru Zumou, Douluo Dalu, Feng Shin Ji, The God of High School, The New Gate, Rakshasa Street, Tales of Demons and Gods, Shen Yin Wang Zuo, Dou po Cang Qiong, Zui Wu Dao, The Magic chef of Ice and Fire, Wu Dong Qian Kun.....?

Not sure if these are in the OP or what everyone likes to read but these are ones I have read or am currently reading that I find pretty good! Now to go through the thread and see what I have missed because I am always looking for new good stuff to read!
