I'm kind of late in doing so, but I think I'm ready to talk about more Pokemon Adventures.

One thing that comes to mind to me right away is how fast paced this manga is. I feel a lot of ground is covered in just 10 chaps. The encounter with Lt. Surge, Lavender Town, the Snorlax blocking the way past diglett's cave, and then Erika. Also, a lot of cool, interesting things happen, like Gary getting a porygon (at the slots even), unlikely characters being on the villains' side, and the addition of the character Blue. It's quite great compared to the anime. It's even more refreshing to see Red is catching more Pokemon. I also got to see the famous part with the zombie pokemon. I didn't expect to see that one so soon.

The biggest part in this session was the introduction of Blue, the sassy, sneaky thief girl in the black dress. She's quite the sly character, using her girlish charm to trick Red multiple times and sell him useless goods and steal other things from him as well as from Team Rocket. It also seems she's always one step ahead, with some sort of plan in mind. She's also got a great design to boot. It's pretty great what they turned this character into just from the one promotional artwork they had to work with. Blue's time in this session was short, but I hope to see her again.

So yeah, good stuff so far. I'm really liking this manga.

Sengoku Youko is so good.

And this man is an absolute badass, even though he's just a human with no crazy powers.  Some characters deserve respect.

Looks interesting...I think I'll have to add it to my list.

-----------------

Kinda late, but Manga Monday thoughts:

Fairy Tail: Yukino a best girl!

Frick...slap scenes always get me. Seeing the girl stand up to her guild master like that was great...really impressed with her.

Meanwhile giant Happy is giant. If Brandish uses that power on Lucy my heart will probably explode. Don't judge!

Gajeel remembering what he did to Levy was suprising...I was wondering if that would be brought up again. I took his actions in the Fighting Festival arc as his penance, but it seems like Hiro plans to address it before Gajevy becomes an official pairing. As if they weren't already...gihihi...

Seven Deadly Sins: See my response to Pokoko

Holy shit this fight is intense. I have no idea how Meliodas is going to get out of this. Zeldras took out his arm with a single attack, and the other demons are pushing him back really hard.

I actually hope Mel loses this one...I think he really needs to be knocked down a couple pegs. We'll see though.

Oh...and I really hope Elaine stays alive somehow. This chapter confirmed that her life is connected to the witch that Escanor burnt. Not sure what's going to happen now. Ugh my weak heart can't take them seperating again.

Still reading Pokemon slowly. I'll give an update when I get farther. For now I'm kinda annoyed with the pacing...but it was interesting to see Giovanni as a friendly old dude travelling with Red.

Anybody hear read some of Junji Ito's work? Started Uzumaki and it's...pretty weird. It's got my attention at the very least. Art is really realistic and creepy, I don't know where the story is going with this at all though. Here's a taste of it, wouldn't recommend it to the faint of heart.

Finished Jojo Part 6 as well

It was another good part, some of the Stands here are probably the most bizzare in the series...like the last 4 in particular were just so weird and random. Jolyne was a great jojo, definetly the one with the most character development yet. The characters here as a whole were much better than 5, each of them actually had a rather unique personality, unlike in 5 where they're all pretty bland in that department. The end was...bitter sweet. I liked that Araki left the ending like that, but at the same time I feel like I haven't recovered from it yet considering how it all went down in the last few chapters.  10/10 another winner, although not better than 4, definetly better than 5.

Guys, I strongly recommend "Feng Shen Ji"

It's about humans rebeling against the gods in an ancient Chinese setting. The art is amazing, full colored action packed.

Began reading it like a week ago and I just can't stop

Agreed and agreed, especially with that four page spread.

Speaking of Sengoku Youku, its author, Mizukami Satoshi, happens to be one of my favorites.

His other completed series, Spirit Circle, is imo at least as good as Sengoku Youku. The main character relives several of his past lives in order to discover why the girl that trasfers into his class declares him to be her enemy.

His older series, "Hoshi no Samidare" aka "The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer", may not be as good as Sengoku Youku or Spirit Circle, but was still a very enjoyable read. Plus it has one of my favorite starts to a manga.

Sorry for the long post.

On a side note I started reading Helck. Great series so far. The story starts with the Demon World is running a competition to choose the next demon king when a high level, muscular human shows up and joins the competition.

It starts off really funny and then the story kicks up a notch and gets more serious and interesting.

The whole thing with the Shogun was just so awesome.  I admit to getting a little choked up with the poem (which was supposedly something he really said, I looked up the actual person).  I just started the part with the Island and the cat (I LOVE THAT CAT).

That's the same mangaka that did The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer?  I had absolutely no idea.  Sengoku Youko is way better in my opinion, though I admit I dropped Biscuit Hammer after a short while.  Except for the lizard, he was cool.  The scenario was interesting but I couldn't stand the two main characters.

I'll certainly look up Spirit Circle.  Thanks for the info.

Edit:  Can you guess where my avatar is from?

Haha, I actually found Helck after trying to find the source of your avatar. Google image search sure is amazing.

Vam....I mean Anne from management is great though.
