They're the best phones on the market with the most profit for the creators. Sadly they also sell near the bottom of the list so that cancels out.

My Xperia Z2 would like to have a word with you. I hate that phone!

It freezes all the time, loses touch capability so that you have to shut it off over a physical button combination, gets features patched out with Android updates.
My phone is of such great build quality that the back glass just broke during the night while charging (in it's first 10 days) and the lid that hides the sd card slot doesn't stay closed.

So no, Sony doesn't make the best phones. Samsung makes better phones, and for the record: I don't like Samsung.

Platforms: Wii U, New 3DS, PS4, PC

currently playing:
 -Yoshi's Wooly World
 -Pokemon X
 -Fire Emblem Fates

Zone: Europe (Germany)

They need to get themselves on the nexus hype train for an iteration or two. Those things are great for brand awareness.

There is no "nexus hype train", less than 1% of Android are Nexus-devices.

That's impressive considering Sony has also the best quality!

Yeah it's impressive but it's not much good when you don't sell much.

But what this shows is the pure greed of apple and how much of a ip off their phones are. If people weren't such sheep and refused to buy apple at that price,, they'd be forced to reduce it by at least $100. And rightly so.

I have an Xperia Z1 and have yet to experience a single problem. For me, they make the best phones hands down.

And yet the mobile communications sector of Sony made a loss last FY and will likely make a loss this FY.... (please don't post individual discrete quarter results to try and prove me wrong - that isn't how it works)

Sony should ditch phones. As soon as they manage to get traction to make a reasonable profit from their low number of high end phones, possibly next year or the year after, China will come along in a few years and obliterate everyone's margins..

Talk of a closed ecosystem for playstation games or content on a playstation phone is backward. It is far more likely and sensible that PlayStation appears on other manufacturers devices over time. Far more likely. That's where the real money is.

most of these loses are coming from the past with reconsrution. Sony makes more profit than MS and Samsung with its Smartphones as you can see

funny how the closed smartphone brand sells more phones and makes most of profits than all the other adroid manufacturs combined. And the story isnt  uch different with consoles over open Platforms like PC
