400 plus the price of the camera... almost 500 but where are the good games for the tech tho? i'm genuinely asking, is there an amazing game for the PS VR?

Battlefront, GT, Ace Combat, Driveclub, Tekken 7, Plus a bunch of really interesting looking VR only games.

that's not $400+ amazing for me so I guess i'll have to pass for now. It's better like that cause look what happened to their 3D display and the move, almost 0 support. So i'll wait to see if they do something mindblowing.

$550 CAD which = no thanks. I will wait for R2 for all platforms and then hopefully, my ultimate porn experience can be fulfilled!

As soon as I see a game that interests me (I missed the announcement so there may already be something that catches my eye), I'll preorder and pay it off. Been waiting a long time for this! I ALMOST bought that personal 3D viewer back in like 2010.

same here, but 1200 it woudl have cost me.

held back by the skin of my teeth.

Question: Can I privately play my normal games on the PSVR, or does it HAVE to be virtual reality?

There is a "cinema mode" that allows you to basically use the PS4 normally on a giant screen.

Greg Miller Tweeted this a while ago.

"Used #PlayStationVR to watch a movie, play Flower, look at Trophies.

It was like a movie theater screen! Imagine Uncharted like this!"

FUUUUCK, thats amazing!

Not sure yet...

$400 is asking a lot to be fair. The cinema mode thing makes its appeal go up tho

I just realized that this will likely launch like a month or so before Horizon: Zero Dawn...uuuggghhh....I need all of this in my life.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I'm still considering it. The main thing stopping me is the enormous strain to the eyes from VR.

Why would there be eye strain? Due to the optics in the headsets your eyes focus just like they would normally.

I´ll buy one as soon as they release a Jumping Flash VR.

As long as it's projecting a 2D image.
With VR games you have the same vergence accomodation conflict as with 3D glasses. The stereo image tricks you into believing the object is closer than where it is projected, which causes eye strain as your eyes have to battle the urge to focus where your brain thinks the object is. Some safeguards may be in place to make objects fade out if you get too close.
