I was in no way saying that Luigi's Mansion was a bad game. But what is clear from the GameCube performance is that it's not a system seller, which is what Nintendo needs, a game that makes everyone want a NX. |
Its not a big system seller but iNintendo have got Zelda and potentially another title for that. A launch line up of key Nintendo titles is all they need to carry them into 2017 comfortably. Spring/Summer and Holiday 2017 are actually where the system sellers are needed the most as Its keeping the momentum after launch thats really the struggle.
Whether their launch line up is decent or amazing, they'll probably end up selling similar amounts of hardware in 2016.

Early 2017 is done with MK9, I can't picture Nintendo having the possibility to have NX launch with Zelda and the choice to either make a 3D Mario or LM3 and choosing LM3

Don't really care about Luigi's mansion tbh, but sounds like a good rumor for the fans of the series.

You dont know what NX is.. AND what the "gimmick" is..
We know Nintendo are very interestet in VR.. and acording to them self.. testet VR since Vboy.. (and first to believe in motion/gyro) VR could be a part of NX..
IF thats the case.. I could see Luigi's Mansion VR (if perfect) be a very big system seller.. :)
(I do not 100% say that VR infact is part of NX.. But just that you dont have enurg infomation to say anything yet)
My guess is nintendo will be a smartphone vr handheld console sounds crazy i know but check this concept out.

It will have the vr headset either included or seperate and thats where the kinect type controls would be so it can do tracking of hands and gestures.
Its a 3D mario game,... its just not the 3D mario game I wanted.
Still I wouldnt turn down a Luigi s mansion game :) they are fine.

If I should guess.. VR is part of NX..
And a smartphone (or dedicated handheld) that can be used in a "Galaxy gear" kind of headset.. makes alot of sense.. Yes :)
Also becourse I could see a device like that having a much bigger impact in japan and china.. (and offcourse still appeal to US and EU)
(and it also makes sense that it can run "normal" tv gaming.. via usb dongle.. or mayby even some ekstra power tv set box)
But I also knows Nintendo.. and one thing I "know" is Nintendo always surprice.. Cant wait for E3.. :)
