Forums - Sony - Is hype for the Last Guardian dead?

Yep, dead 74 40.88%

Nope! 107 59.12%

I'd say yes. At least for now. They need to start showing more gameplay, as we've seen nothing since E3.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I'm still hyped, but my hype for other games with release dates takes priority.

It's had to survive for like 10 years. It has not.

Iv said this before but i wish TLG never got re announced because it was so fun to speculate and hype up events with funnys gifs and what not and every time TLG was in the news it would always be big news and bring controversy / talks

Good times.

They have made good games but that last guardian gameplay look like crap! It's hard to be hyped for a game with a ten year delay and doesn't look fun. If development takes that long it usually doesn't turn out well. They should have just shown a trailer at e3 because the gameplay looked boring. It's like they threw some quick gameplay together to show the game was real and that its development is still at the beginning stages.

You can't unhype the successor to shadow of the colossus. Not that it will sell well of course.

For now, yes, because it has been like 9 months since a single shred of game footage was shown. The hype will come back once it is re-re-revealed(whenever that is). I'm sure the game will be divisive, but amazing(much like Shadow of the Colossus). For now, I can still see it coming out later this year but if a release date is not announced at E3, they will probably push it back to March-April 2017 ala Uncharted 4/Bloodborne style. At least that way it doesn't get buried under COD/Battlefield/FIFA/Madden in the holiday season.

I'm permahyped for anything Team ICO is working on.

The Miyamoto of Team ICO has left though. It's only Team ICO in name at this point.

He is still working on the game though(assuming you are referring to Fumito Ueda) in a full capacity.
