That's because DC's trailer was released first on a non-official channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX_iASz1Si8

Also Batman v superman's comic con trailer and suicide squad's are both 60+ million against 48 million for civil war's most seen trailer.

About your question i love both.

Those comic-con trailers have a 5 months head start on the most watched Marvel trailer.  The Spidey trailer has 29 million hits in about a day.

I love both, but I'd be lying if I did'nt say I had a big preference for DC.

Nowadays everyone is a super hero fans. Yet no one knows a thing about them. My point is that ALOT of ppl claim to be fans yet they judge solely on big screen movies. There is two type of fans, casual wannabe fans based only on the blockbuster movies, and ''real'' fans who have a opinion based on every different media and whom truely know their stuffs.

If we look all across Comic Book, Animated movies, TV shows and blockbuster movies, I can't say that everyone would prefer DC, but atleast I can claim that most ppl I know (if not all?) that consume every media, has a preference for DC.

I believe DC has more iconic heroes, way better villains. Bigger stories with higher stake. And they make me feel way more emotionaly involved.

When it comes to movies, I think Marvel movies are really overated. They are great ''candy'' or ''fast food'' movies that aim for the lowest common denominator. But they are not great movies imo (with exceptions). Avengers was just an action fest with close to no story (altho really entertaining), Age of Ultron tried to replicate the formula but the wow factor was gone. Worst, they ruined the mood, the villain and the feeling of serious stakes with lame jokes. (How am I supposed to feel emotionaly involved about the world coming to an end when all these characters keep making jokes while fighting).

Capt 2 was great imo, It had a good story, great stakes and not to many jokes to ruin the mood. I also loved Guardians of the Galaxy cause I felt it was funny just right. Hated Capt 1 and Iron Man 3. Enjoyed the two Thor movies more than I think I should have.

As for DC. I loved Man of Steel. And everyone I know who saw the movie also loved it. I can't understand why the internet is so much against it. It was emotionaly involving, with a great villain that had great motivations (and did'nt do jokes all the time). Great action, not to much and not to little. But I feel ppl are way to hard on DC movies while everything Marvel tends to get a pass. Story wise, more than half of Marvel movies are weak, betting on great action, jokes and hype to carry it. Yet I see few ppl blasting them. Green Lantern was'nt a good movie, but it was comparable to a few Marvel movies. Yet everyone is shitting on Green Lantern. It was comparable to Hulk and Thor movies imo. If Green Lantern was a Marvel movie and ended with Nick Fury meeting with Hal Jordan, that movie would'nt of taken as much bad rep as it did.

Imo, when Marvel have the quantity of movies, they don't beat DC in quality globaly. The Dark Knight Trilogy is ages above everything Marvel did. I thought Man of Steel was better than over half of Marvel movies (altho I guess I'm the minority here). And ppl tend to forget (or just don't know) that Watchmen and V for Vandetta (two of my favorite comic book movies of all time) are both from DC.

Marvel. DC doesn't try to world build. Or just has really bad luck at picking writers. So they can't world build. When the movie bombs. Marvel links everything else. That they legally can. Which is a really annoying factor to Marvel. And DC could easily be capitalizing on it. But more times. DC movies have screwed up.

I hate this response. There is a simple reason and point to why Avengers has no "story". The story was built up in all the past freaking films. Excluding Hawkeye. Everyone else, and Loki were setup before. Avengers had like 12 hours of story building behind it. What else did it need to be explained. That wasn't already done before hand? And you're talking to a fan who didn't watch any Cap movies or Thor movies. Because I don't care for the characters (don't hate them). I had no problems following the film. Or anything Loki really did.

You can complain about certain Deus Ex elements. But not the story. It be like bitching when Thanos finally gets used in a full movie. And then saying they didn't explain his glove powers. Completly ignoring Guardians and other movie bits info.

The Avengers film is basically the season finale of a TV show. If you picture the other films being episodes. Imagine if X-Files explained the entire seasons build up, in finale. It be hours long. And what would be the point of watching all that stuff before hand? You wanted the first Avengers film to be a clip show or something?

Underoos!

But seriously BvS has several trailers. Its oversaturated. Civil War has only 2 trailers. And Spiderman.

Whoever did this obviously is trying to wants a certain narrative being potrayed. Don't mind it.

Both will hopefully be fun to watch.

Always been a marvel guy. For the most part, I really did enjoy the Nolan Batman films. The Dark Knight is still my favorite super hero film but overall, I prefer how marvel has handled the MCU as a whole. The Batman vs Superman film doesn't have the same legacy of the MCU.

I don't care if I ever see Superman again. Actually, strike that, I have no intentions of ever watching a Superman film again. He's a piece of cardboard and I feel no empathy with him whatsoever. Batman, while a much, much better character, is also similar to cardboard. He also has MUCH better opponents who often supply the personality for him.

Personality being the key reason I mostly prefer Marvel over DC's dual poster heros. Give me Spiderman and Iron Man, with all their quirks and flaws, any day of the week.

Better question. If Capcom is the Marvel of gaming, who is the DC of gaming?

Marvel has the best live action movies (cap 3 is going to be amazing) while DC has the best t.v. shows, animated series and movies.

I love both but DC has been growing on me lately because of their t.v. shows (flash, arrow, supergirl), their animated movies (flashpoint paradox) and their animated series (young justice)

I agree with what Mike-San stated 100%. For me, for whatever reason, the Ultimate Spiderman, Marvel's Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and Guardians of the Galaxy have not been as entertaining as Young Justice or some of DC's other animated series. In addition, outside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and DareDevil, I am not as gravitated towards their other works as some.

Now, does this mean Marvel creates inferior animated series or movies? No. If anything, I believe both are great. I am just more captivated towards the DC animation than I am Marvel's at this point and time. Ultimatley, though, you cannot go wrong with either.

I can never understand how some people feel that they have to choose between either DC or Marvel. I'm a comic fan, so I dig stuff from Marvel, DC, Image, IDW, Valiant, Dark Horse, and so on. My current favorite Marvel movie is Winter Soldier, so I am excited for Civil War (I loved the comic version). Yet, I also enjoyed Man of Steel, and so far, I'm most hyped for Batman v. Superman (Affleck seems great as Batman, and I still can't believe we're finally going to get to see a Wonder Woman in a film).

As a comic fan, I'm hoping both of these films do well, because their success means more comic films. When I was a kid, I would have never imagined that I would be seeing the Avengers or the Justice League on the big screen, so to see several movies in these universes in a single year is insane.

The opening post seems to be painting a particular agenda, because the final BvS trailer has far more views than what was suggested in the OP (they're spread out over several different channels), largely because the trailer on the Warner Bros. channel was posted later than other channels.
