Marvel. DC doesn't try to world build. Or just has really bad luck at picking writers. So they can't world build. When the movie bombs. Marvel links everything else. That they legally can. Which is a really annoying factor to Marvel. And DC could easily be capitalizing on it. But more times. DC movies have screwed up.
| Metrium said: When it comes to movies, I think Marvel movies are really overated. They are great ''candy'' or ''fast food'' movies that aim for the lowest common denominator. But they are not great movies imo (with exceptions). Avengers was just an action fest with close to no story (altho really entertaining |
I hate this response. There is a simple reason and point to why Avengers has no "story". The story was built up in all the past freaking films. Excluding Hawkeye. Everyone else, and Loki were setup before. Avengers had like 12 hours of story building behind it. What else did it need to be explained. That wasn't already done before hand? And you're talking to a fan who didn't watch any Cap movies or Thor movies. Because I don't care for the characters (don't hate them). I had no problems following the film. Or anything Loki really did.
You can complain about certain Deus Ex elements. But not the story. It be like bitching when Thanos finally gets used in a full movie. And then saying they didn't explain his glove powers. Completly ignoring Guardians and other movie bits info.
The Avengers film is basically the season finale of a TV show. If you picture the other films being episodes. Imagine if X-Files explained the entire seasons build up, in finale. It be hours long. And what would be the point of watching all that stuff before hand? You wanted the first Avengers film to be a clip show or something?
