Software and hardware charts are not the same length so that would mean that the software chart would have to be smaller or show less than 10 results to make it fit with the hardware charts?

Integrating the VGC buddy into the drop down menu seems like a neat idea but I don't use the buddy since I can never see it anyways :p

I love your layout idea spemanig, I like what you did with the articles. Add the right colors and your layout would be perfect, great job.

Yeah, the charts would need to be resized. It's still readable, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. That graph is actually only there because I couldn't find an image of the "Latest Chart Updates," so it's a place holder. There's so much unoccupied space there, so I figured it didn't need to be as wide as the other two.

Mostly incorperated the buddy there for Machina, since he had questions about how it would work. The buddy is always cut off for me too lol. This one is more like the side bar on youtube, so it's scrolls with you as you scroll down on the page.

And yes, clicking the profile icon would have a much smaller drop down menu, not unlike the one we have currently. I encorperated a bit of the functions to the buddy, just because I thought it might be convenient.

Ideally, the buddy would actually have tabs for the different areas of the website instead of the "Message/Notifications/Friends" thing. The goal would be to encourage exploration of the site. I even considered having the Game Database Search there instead of at the top, so it's always accessable, even when you're on the forums. The reason I didn't lay it out this way is because that would require a separate scroll wheel for the VGC Buddy, like the one on the Youtube side bar, since that would be too much to fit inside it anyway. I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to code, and I also didn't know if Machina and Trucks would like it, so I decided not to incorperate that, even though I think it would be better.

Well it would be like the Youtube sidebar, meaning it's dropped down by default and always "permanently down." It's opt out, not opt in. Try going on youtube to see what I was going for. It's much more sleek than the current buddy, and acts more as a "frame" for your screen, so it travels with you as you scroll.

I could but it's really annoying since I use a laptop and have to use the trackpad to scroll rather than a wheel (hard to get it back to the right magnification afterwards too)

I just check My Topics to see if there are responses rather than the buddy, as I have no use for it :p
