Yeah, I know. It's one of the most debated stuff I've seen around. But anyway, Nintendo still owns a good chunk of them, so they should have a good amount of power/influence to affect their decisions.

Can't wait for the new handheld. We should get information on it very soon, since it will launch this year. NX console is still over a year away, but we should get for information on it at E3 I guess.

The Pokémon Company is only 32% owned by Nintendo according to Nintendo's Annual Report 2015 (page 5).

The ip itself still belongs to Nintendo though, 32% would also still make them a majority shareholder as that's a third of shares and the company itself was created by Nintendo to manage the franchise. Gamefreak and Creatures chipped in with the investment which is why they have some say in the matter of the IP.
