Forums - Gaming - Street Fighter V did not chart in EU PS Store

I said from the start that I'd be shocked if it sold 2m copies. Looks like I was right. Should have made it multiplat from the start, Capcom. Now you will be stuck with this on PS4 when it could be on NX and Xbox One. I hope it was worth it.

I prefer capcom will be acquired by Nintendo. They can fix Megaman, Resident evil and Street Fighter. MH is sucessful on Nintendo

I don't believe they would fix Megaman (since it's too much like Metroid), they would drop RE because it doesn't fit their aesthetic, and SFV is part owned by Sony, so....

And while Monster Hunter has been successful on 3DS, it has little to do with 3DS and mostly related to the fact that it's Monster Hunter. In fact, thanks to Crapcom continuously putting MH on weaker and weaker machines, we've been stuck with PS2 graphics for over a decade. I feel Sony would do this game justice and bring it into 7th-Gen at the very least.

I think this does give further evidence that SFV did flop. NPD numbers will finally end this discussion, though I expect sales to be disappointing.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

It's Capcom's fault for releasing a content-lite game, which is a shame because the gameplay mechanics are fantastic. Honestly, they should have waited until the game was complete before even thinking of releasing it. It doesn't matter that most of the missing content will be added through free updates. The damage has already been done.

They did like Killer Instinct did on MS side, and KI still deliver and they are at season 3 now.

Capcom want to do same release season of new character each year. I thik it a good Idea but it seem gamer aint agree.

Has for me i did purchase SF V and i aint regret a bit.

Except Killer Instinct didn't launch at $60. People expect more when they're paying that much for a game.

My brother bought the game and I really like how it plays, but it doesn't change the fact that in its current state it's not worth $60. The low sales clearly show that as well.

I am not going to repeat myself but I still feel that Capcom misused Sony's investment especially with how light the in game content is. Still feels like a game that should have been released for 30$. It wouldn't have got this bad rep now.

Capcom deliberately aimed to the competitive crowd, EVO, progamers.

Not for the mere player, the same who bought SFII on SNES because it was a fun game.

Also DLC heavy SFIV made a lot of ppl wait for the super ultra alpha hyper edition, thus diluting the sales.

Street Fighter V did not appear on the February digital sales chart for PSN in Europe, on top of this it charted below Naruto in the U.S.A. At number 5.

I personally believe, given Capcoms financial situation this will result in no more fighting games for the next few years. In the longer term I also speculate capcom will be acquired by Sony.

What at are your thoughts? Did you buy the game? Is it unfortunate or just deserts?

There doesn't have to be another fighting game from Capcom for a while. Think of Driveclub and you've got what Capcom are trying to do.

The PS5 Exists.

"acquired by Sony", that sounds completely overblown by a large margin, especially with the wishful thinking thrown in. Capcom isn't going to be acquired by Sony any time soon and I hope they wouldn't be at all. Also it;s Capcom's fault for releasing the game like it is along with it being only on two systems.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

The situation is getting worse and worse with Street Fighter V. :/
