Yes, we do. At worst you could argue that they should finish and release the Wii U version first and then put it on the NX but either way, the game should be ported to NX ASAP.

I want to play the best version of Zelda realistically attainable. That includes waiting an extra 6months for an NX port assuming the Wii U version would actually be ready summer 2016 and they're delaying it extra just to coincide with a console launch. We've waited over 4 years, I'll happily wait a handful of months extra for the definitive experience.

Also remasters of 6th gen games for 1080p platforms with fully redone textures etc is not comparable to porting from one HD system to another during the actual production process where textures can normally be scaled (versus creating entirely new ones- If nintendo decides to improve the visuals beyond resolution and VFX (lighting/Aliasing). So the porting process shouldn't be too extensive.

Also I'm more invested in seeing the NX have a great launch line up then seeing the Wii U cling to, and limit (sales wise) a great looking Zelda game.

I'm not happy about the delay at all.
That said, look at Skyward Sword to see what's definitely NOT working: swan songs don't sell. And that was the Wii, with an install base of 100m - imagine how Zelda U will do on Wii U's measly 12m. The system is being faded out already, and by winter the NX will have been officially announced.

Nintendo must manage to shift their Zelda development cycle, so that new entries can be released to healthy ecosystems. Wasn't Ocarina the game that prompted Miyamoto to coin his famous "delayed game good eventually, bad game bad forever" quote? It's still true, but we could add that a crazy long delay means your game will flop horribly.

Most people doubted their 2015 release date when they announced it. They need to have 2 unqiue Zelda teams so they can allow that 4-5 year development Cycle and still have 1 Zelda games every 3 years.

it doesnt care of the games are on launch or not. Wii U got all those games, didnt helped. The sales never significant increased.

It does matter, things could be quite difrent if Splatoon, Mario Kart or Mario Maker were launch titles, instead we had Nintendo Land and basically HD version of NSMB. Wii U died in first year, all big games like Mario 3D World, Mario Kart, Smash, Splatoon, Mario Maker...arrived on system when basically was dead and nothing could save it after first year.

give one reason why it would had changed anything? People that are interested in Mario Kart would had get the system on launch instead of summer 2014. Maybe some more sales at launch, but alot less sales later. Wouldnt had changed anything. The Ps4 had a as worse launch lineup as the wii u btw.

Its all about perception, on one side you have launch of new console with great games, on other side you have great games coming on already dead platform (Wii U case), and people dont buy dead platform despite good games (Wii U is proof of that). So some people would buy Wii U at launch if it had Mario Kart or Splatoon, but with those weak launch titles Wii U had majority of people didn't bought it on launch, and when good games finally come to Wii U, Wii U was already consider like ultimate failures, all 3rd party abandoned platform, future of platform is uncertain....so people despite later launch of good games did not buyed console, they simply decided to skip platform like that.

"Maybe some more sales at launch, but alot less sales later."

Thats whole point, in order to be successful platform it needs to have good sales in first year, because good sales bring better support, better reception and better awareness of console and all that influence that console find place on market. Wii U on other hand had terrible sales in first year after launch and basically was dead after first year, nothing could save it.

"The Ps4 had a as worse launch lineup as the wii u btw."

Thing with PS4 is that most of people don't buy PS4 because exclusives, they buying it because of multiplatforms games, and PS4 proof istelf like best console for multi platform games, there is report that even PC players are moving to PS4. While Nintendo consoles are all about exclusive games, nobody buys Nintendo console in first place to play multi platform games, ever consumers wants that Nintendo console have multi platform games also.

Lol do you really believe that? People dont want to play Mario Kart and get a Wii u because it was a "dead" plattform in 2014. With games like Watchdogs, Bayonetta 2, Zelda Wii U, Smash, Hyrule Warrios and co all coming?

95% if the average consumer has no clue about the wii u sales and thats it a "dead" console. They dont care about that lol. People are still buying a Ps3 now a days.

BTW the Wii U had Mario, Nintendo biggest and most successfull franchise on launch. The previous Marios Bros Wii sold 28mio on the Wii. Much more then any Zelda title ever did.

There's been so much speculation of Xelda U getting ported to NX...
At this point, there may very well be people who would hold off on getting Zelda U for no other reason than they expect a port to NX...
It could very well happen out of convenience...
Surely, Nintendo knows they have to come out of the gate strong; a Zelda title at launch would help...
My concern at that point would be the rest of the launch lineup...

Have a nice day...

-People dont want to buy Wii U thats a fact, you have sale numbers like a proff.  I dont know do you remamber Wii U first year, evre time when Wii U was mentioned was in negative way, nobady wanted Wii U, nobady cared about Wii U, espacily with coming of PS4/X1. For mass market Wii U died after 1st year. You can see even here on this thread some people saying dont have Wii U and dont have plans to buy one, but with Zelda U port NX they will probably buy NX.

-Yes, but they have clue about product perception, about what is popular, what people are talking about.

-BTW, NSMBU made huge damage to to Wii U launch, because basically was HD NSMB from Wii, it wasnt enuf that people thought that Wii U is some sort of Wii addon, but they now see same game that was released 3 years later just in HD. 2D Mario game espacily NSMBU defiantly wasnt good game for launch, Wii Sports and Zelda TP were incomparible stronger launch titles than Nintendo Land and NSMBU, saying that very posible 3D Mario game and Zelda U port will be very strong launch titles for NX.

in the first month the wii u sold incredible well. had a better start then the wii if i remember right.

Then the problems started. The problem is, not dozens of millions of people are interested in nintendo games. And thats the only reason to buy the wii u. Sure the franchises are popular, but games like cod and fifa already are more popular in many regions.

Nintendo Wii U was a failure - get ower it! It's rediculous if people claim to have a right as Nintendo Wii U-owners that "their" console has to be supported for x-years and they have the right for certain exclusives. A bad product has always its backlashes, that's unavoidable. Nintendo always want to do something different, something unique. They're innovative. Such a philosophy bears risks but thank God they take it. The games industry would be so much more boring without Nintendo!

People always point at Sega and their failure in not supporting their consoles and add-ons long enough and warn now that Nintendo will fall likewise if they stop supporting the Nintendo Wii U after NX release in Q4 2016. This is a stupid comparison because Sega did so many mistakes in a row: 32X failed, oh! let's bring CD, failure, oh! let's bring Saturn, failure, oh! then let's bring Dreamcast asap, oh! failure again and oh! we don't have any money on the banks left, let's go 3rd party and fail again but at least we will survive somehow. The amount of failure Sega did is really for the records and should be studied in any business school to learn how not to do business.
