what do people purchase on the PS4?

The hardware seems to sell but no games ever seem to be in the charts.

PS4 software has slowly gained ground and for this week Media Create has 7 titles in top 20, for Famitsu there are 10 titles in top 30. Many of these titles do not sell big numbers lifetime but the overall legs of PS4 titles is improving all the time. PS4 has also had really good stream of new games coming these past months and the promise of future games is really strong. Add those digital estimates into the mix and the picture looks quite clear why PS4 has started 2016 so well.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Thanks for the pics

Dat Hot SFV cover is made for collectors, regular is really boring

Project Setsuna cover looks so mysterious/calling...oh man there is no ambition or style in western covers, just generic and braindead simple, what everyone has learned to expect...

Looks like a generic wallpaper to me. I like it though.

Maybe but that's just it, it isn't a wallpaper but a game cover...it creates a set expectation for the game and for me it is really interesting cover since I don't know anything about Project Setsuna.

Its a turn based (ATB active time battle) game, without random encounters.

It looks alot like Dragon Quest, from the gameplay videos (but battles take place on the area you re walking around)

Feels old school in a good way.

And yes I really like the cover art too.

I think 1 of the reason is how the PS4 and the Vita gets sooooooo much Japanese games that it manages to get fans of different Japanese games.  There is sooooo much to choose from which makes it hard for 1 software to chart/sell very highly which Nintendo seems to do good at.

The top 20 selling ps4 games include 10 Japanese titles and 10 western titles.  So the key is diversity.

Ps4 total software sells more yearly then the Wii U so it shows many lesser selling titles are better than a few highly selling titles.  On top of that ps4 still has many big sellers to come both western and Japanese.  It's fairly obvious why it sells so much better.  DIVERSITY!

Minecraft Japan legs more impressive than Splatoon? All platforms combined and digital Yeah of course but what about just vita minecraft vs splatoon?

Splatoon looks more front loaded legs wise than the vita minecraft. It's been out much longer yet it's still selling similar weekly numbers. I wonder in 12 months what kind of weekly numbers both titles will be pulling?

Yeah Minecraft has amazing legs, i wont doubt that. In fact one of the more impressive games to feat legs, but splatoon definitely is more impressive. There are a number of reasons to why. Also front loaded? Splatoon has almost 50% of the userbase on board and as of now selling over 2.5x the amount as new owners per week (for past two weeks).

We'll leave it at both including AC/YW having the most impressive legs this gen. But i say Splatoon specifically has the most outstanding, considering it being in the top 10 every week since release (excluding 1), not hitting under 10k any week so far, horrible and yes HORRIBLE userbase its on, etc.

Edit: Towards your second comment, Splatoon retail has always been ahead weekly majority of the time (vita MC) with alot less new owners per week. In fact Splatoon sold more per week than WiiU basically all year. That and MC is very cheap in price so that helps alot too!

^Also, Splatoon is a completely new IP released last year. Minecraft has been around much longer than Splatoon and has only recently been released on other consoles outside of Xbox.
