I think 1 of the reason is how the PS4 and the Vita gets sooooooo much Japanese games that it manages to get fans of different Japanese games. There is sooooo much to choose from which makes it hard for 1 software to chart/sell very highly which Nintendo seems to do good at. |
The top 20 selling ps4 games include 10 Japanese titles and 10 western titles. So the key is diversity.
Ps4 total software sells more yearly then the Wii U so it shows many lesser selling titles are better than a few highly selling titles. On top of that ps4 still has many big sellers to come both western and Japanese. It's fairly obvious why it sells so much better. DIVERSITY!
