My point is people asked for it sooner rather than later, and the game suffered for it. Capcom should have held it back for a full release. Hopefully those lesser known, less important reviewers will update their scores when the rest of the game releases.

Capcom is releasing it for the Pro Tour, most likely.

And Metacritic don't update reviews.

Unfortunate that a good game's scores would be ruined by a half launch.

The reviews are mostly decent, though.

Releasing the game without story or arcade mode is not something to be overlooked, even as story has already a date and it's soon, and all content will come for free, there is no way but to review it how it is now, thought the game will be way over that score soon enough.

There are some few brutal scores taking much from it even it being as good on the gameplay as it is, but the average is decent to what was delivered.

Capcom has built an entire tournament scene around SFV. They had to launch now or it would have caused all kinds of issues. The first Capcom Pro Tour event is the Cannes Winter Clash and that starts on February 26th.

I said "for the most part" to avoid this discussion.

Sorry, but that's just not true.

SF V gameplay system is severely changed from IV, there is no rehash, that's just false.

It changed so much Daigo lost to a raper as you saw on that other thread.

SF V has a similar art style to IV and a basic moveset any fighting franchise has, but it's clearly a very different gameplay system from Focus to V, what could be changed was changed. The characters will still punch and kick in three tiers, they jump, move, and have their personal attacks as well, but that's just the base and will always be there, actually even some of those tier basic moves and brand personal attacks are changed.

SF V gameplay is definitely not a rehash from IV, not for most part not for half of it, it's severely changed.

Im talking about the core gameplay and I dont mean rehash like SFIV updates.

"Give us the game now!"

"You gave us an incomplete game! Have a bad review!"

Morons.

The route Capcom went makes avid fans happy to have the game now. But obviously they were going to take a hit in reviews because of it.

Its fair in my opinion.

Yea like I've said I love that they did this. Sucks they are getting low reviews but oh well the start of this gen made me cut out review altogether. I'll take a look at reviews to see about any bug related issues but even that's not realiable anymore because some sites leave it out.

On paper, you're getting one and a half characters outright (160,000 coins from just the prologues) for a few hours of work. That's...not bad, since said characters would be sold as paid DLC anyway. But Capcom is counting on you spending your currency on outfits, leaving you with less and less cash to buy characters with. It's a common strategy that's used in a lot of games -- hell, the free market in general. If you can resist the temptation, you'll likely come out on top.

Assuming the well of solo coins dries up, beyond that, you'll need to win roughly 2000 games a month to get a free character. But there are concessions. Leveling up a character by playing them will net you an extra 1000 coins per level, for example. When the shop opens in March, more prices emerge, and other modes arrive, we'll update accordingly. For now, the high rewards for single-player content are great, but we'll see how easy it is to earn Coins once players cap their levels out. "More ways to earn coins will be added throughout the year" Capcom says, but for now, this is just a promise.

Should've asked for funding from MS and Sony. Probably would have been complete already. No good reason why it's not on Xbox.
I'm more than pleased with KI but still.

Fair scores. So much lack of content.

I wish they had a bigger budget for this. I feel bad for Ono.

84 is nice since it doesn't has story mode... so another MCC...

All the issues at launch pretty much killed the hype for me. I'm glad I waited, but I will be getting this game for sure once everything is fixed and more content is released.

You just can't take reviews like that seriously at least I don't.

Of course you can't

And what happens with the 99% of Steam reviews that say "dont buy this game"

http://store.steampowered.com/app/310950/?l=english

Those arent reliable either?
