I'd give it until 2020 Lately game console cycles have been getting longer and I don't see Microsoft just giving in so quick. if you remember correctly it took the Xbox 360 a good 2 years too get a solid foundation.

Baryonyx said: i really doubt that to ever happen now that Microsoft have gone 99/9% window cross-platform. People will realize this generation that owning a Xb1 is useless because all of their beloved titles or future new titles will perform better on a pc that cost 100$ more in 2018. The Xb2 will be a cheap ass window machine. I really hope people actually buy a platform for it's vast majority of awesome games, not because of their brand... If they Ofc not like to cheat themselves from awesome experiences in life |
Best Sony advert I've seen in a while...
We don't need predictions, we already have Michael Pachter and thats already one more than we need! Sorry :)
Don't know when, but I would be totally ok with a 4-5 years life cicle for a console (counting, say, 2 or 3 more years of support after the new one is launched). If they could keep compatibility with previous gen everytime, it would be perfect, IMO.
