Zelda U is supposed to come out this year so you'd hope they wouldn't do that!

I would be as hyped as I'm for the new Zelda even if they release a spin off every week, I would just not buy them, that said, I dont expect any other new Zelda of any kind coming before Zelda U.

I agree that there has been too many times where Zelda is announced for a year and then it comes way later, so next time they announce one new main entry for homeconsole I will be less hyped since I know I will have to wait way longer than they say. That's something they need to solve by not delaying the next one, at least not too much.

I agree with you that I would be mad if they announced a spinoff Zelda game in the likes of Triforce Heroes or Warriors. But A Link Between Worlds was amazing I am actually more hyped for those kind of Zelda games than the 3D ones.

Given we've had a new Zelda and a remaster for 3DS last year, a port of Hyrule Warriors for 3DS arriving imminently, and a Twilight Princess remaster for Wii U in a few weeks, the chance of another Zelda title being announced are slim to none. It's likelier Zelda U is going to launch on NX as well as Wii U, I think.

With three Zelda titles, being Hyrule Warriors 3DS, TPHD and Zelda U coming out this year, i doubt Nintendo is really too interested in making another spin-off title. That being said, even if they did announce one i'd have no reason to be upset, if it looked interesting to be i might perhaps buy it, if not then i'll just ignore it. Nintendo aren't forcing you to spend money on every title they release :P

Do eventual Zelda Mobile games count ? I ask since I could see Nintendo making DeNA work on a Zelda game for the 30th anniversary...

I highly agree. I love all the Zelda games (mainline, spinoffs and remasters) that have been released this gen, but I'm ready for Zelda U already!! And with each delay and announcement that's not Zelda U, my anticipation and excitement lessens. Too many appetizers already, Nintendo!

In this day and age of Twitch and Youtube walkthroughs, you don't have the element of surprise anymore. Too many delays = less excitement and hype = people just yawning at the final release and saying "I'll just watch the stream on youtube instead of actually buying the game." At least, that's how it is in my mind.

I want this game by the end of 2016. Pleeeeease no more delays. I feel like five years is more than enough time to make a stellar game. I know it's going to be amazing, so just give it to us already.

Well unbelievably so I actually agree with you. There have already been two too many as it stands, but luckily I doubt they're going to announce any more.

Despite the fact that we haven't yet gotten a mainline console entry, Nintendo has milked the franchise to the point of exhaustion this gen.

Ocarina 3D, Majora 3D, Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, Hyrule Warriors, Link Between Worlds, Triforce Heroes...

If Zelda U does arrive later this year, that will make 8 games in 6 years. And people give Assassins Creed and COD shit for being over-milked...
