Forums - Gaming - Ubisoft confirms: no new Assassin's Creed in 2016

What a surprise!

Seriously, both we and the franchise needed a break. Let's hope Ubi takes this time to fix what's wrong with the series.

Please excuse my bad English.

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Putting a temporary stop on Assassin's Creed is certainly a good thing since the series is suffering from fatigue already. I'm hopeful that this re-examination will lead to a better and refreshed franchise. But knowing Ubisoft, the re-examination will end up on Assassin's Creed Online or The Creed: Underground Kart Racing.

Good. Ubi smarted up a bit.

It seems like the AC leak about a 2017 ancient egypt game is true.

YOU'RE ALL WRONG! (sorry for caps lol)

You're all forgetting that there's the Assassin's Creed movie coming out this year. That's why!

Ubisoft may be taking a break from AC games this year, but doesn't mean the franchise itself will stop this year.

In theory, now would be a good time for them to capitalize on it but I feel as though they have learned from Prince of Persia. It won't always guarantee the game will be successful. That being said, it is a good idea to take a break.

Agreed.
