It was about time. I don't even remember the reason but I started boycotting GT about 3 years ago.

Oh man this sucks :(

I remember being an avid GT watcher back in the day. I liked their reviews enough and remember watching their video game retrospectives (their LoZ and RE ones come to mind) and loving them.

Hope the employees and everyone else ends up landing on their feet after all is said and done.

This sucks! I loved Final Bossman and enjoyed GTtime. Also I usualy agreed with their reviews. :(

Almost certainly. Ad rates for gaming sites are ~ half what they were in 2010 for major gaming websites. It's why so many sites have had to close or scale back operations.

I've previously seen stats that indicate ad-blocker usage amongst gamers on videogame news sites is higher than even ad-blocker on porn sites.
