Pocky Lover Boy!
I'm kind of a rock person, but I'm lately somehow addicted to Grimes. I truly admire the production value and the lyricism of her last album, Art Angels. I also love her geekiness, mad personality and video-game and K-pop references on her lyrics/videos and how she doesn't give a damn. A truly remarkable artist. Somewhat underrated because of her supposedly "pop" music. There's a lot more than meets the eye.
Creep: Radiohead.
Also anything from Kanye West. Just thought I'd throw in the most important, most influential, talented musician of the past 15 years, and see how people react.

Kanye West or Thom Yorke? :P. I like both of them, but I'm more of a Radiohead person.

Kanye. I only mentioned him because people love to hate on him, so reading such a declaration is probably blaspheme to many people.
Even though it's true.
This is actually my first foray into Radiohead. Very good band.

Yeah, you're right. I think people hate his persona, and they translate that hate into his music. But his musicianship is beyond any doubt. That's part of a modern hipster mentality of "everybody/everything that's praised and mainstream is shit" that's kind of invading the music world. At least that's what I think.
Radiohead is probably my favourite band, so I definitely recommend to hear it. Things start to get really good after The Bends, all the albums are worth a listening (OK Computer and In Rainbows are my personally favourites).
Nothing but I'm about to go into my car and probably play some classic rock. Probably start with The Doors.
Been listening to the soundtrack from the Empire Strikes Back while doing some project work
