Can someone explain to me why people like these generic Lego games? I have never, ever understood the appeal.

They made at least one game that is better than the movie it is based on.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

They'll run out of franchises soon enough.

I'm shocked, or I would have been, if this game never came into existence.

Looks official, and cool B-)

June 28 release, and I see 3DS/Vita versions.

-----

It is official!

The Force is strong with this one… The No. 1 LEGO videogame franchise triumphantly returns with a fun-filled, humorous journey based on the blockbuster Star Wars film. Play as Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Kylo Ren, Han Solo, and the rest of your favorite characters from the movie!

In LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, players relive the epic action from the blockbuster film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, retold through the clever and witty LEGO lens. The game will also feature exclusive playable content that bridges the story gap between Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens also introduces Multi-Builds and Blaster Battles to the LEGO videogame universe. With Multi-Builds, use available LEGO bricks to open up new paths, then break them apart and re-build them again to open up another! And another! During Blaster Battles, use your surroundings as cover to stand against the First Order.

Yeah I don't really get it either, I enjoyed Lego Star Wars, then I Enjoyed Lego Star Wars 2.... Then I played Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, Lego Lord of the Rings... and I just can't do it, they're all the same game just with a different skin/brand slapped on to sell copies. People complain about annual franchises like CoD or Assassin's Creed, meanwhile Lego are pumping out up to 3 games a year that are almost all the same just exploiting peoples love of certain different franchises to make money.

Formula doesn't seem to change too much between games. I only own Lego Star Wars (Complete Saga), but recently played Lego Dimensions and I liked the dynamic co-op splitscreen. TT games does seem to finetune the Lego experience.

No Vita/original 3DS makes absolutely no sense.  I could almost guarantee that the majority of handheld sales will come from normal 3DS, not New 3DS, since kids aren't going to be arsed upgrading hardware.

This better had an iOS version.. A lot of LEGO games have one.. Some better Ported then others but at 4.99 euro a steal

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Kinda lost interest after they started doing real voices
