It's a shame because now other people will also attempt to sell a "file" for $40.00 as well.

Oh look, more entitled gamers that believe all Indies should be free. Have fun shelling out ridiculous amounts of cash for multiplayer only games, with over priced season passes and microtransactions!

People can spend their money how they see fit. Quit being a troll.

Entitled? I just paid $60.00 for Super Metroid on Ebay when I could have just downloaded the ROM. I just think that at $40.00, you need to offer a physical product to justify the cost. Hence the quotes around the word file.

I like how the topic was about him earning more dosh than his previous game made within the same time frame and yet we strayed so far off the path of that subject and dove straight into piracy, to which we then went straight for the throat and decided to include PC.

Grats for the dev, but he should be happy he's earning money rather than using the Square Enix outlook, assuming he'll remain positive after this point, I would imagine a good dev keeping focus on being positive instead of becoming a Phil Fish.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Good, looks like piracy won't affect it after all.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I hope it's a huge financial success.

This is already contender for surprise game of 2016, indie 2016, and puzzle 2016 awards.

Oh man I hope that's enough to feed his family what with all the pirating.

Glad the game is selling well, by all accounts it is a fantastic game. But his crying about how bad piracy was making his situation look was clearly exaggerated for attention/sales.

He's like Phil Fish in that he makes it very hard for me to purchase his work and feel good about it.

What crying? he made one comment on twitter how he saw that his game was heavily pirated nothing more nothing less, can we please stop with that crying, what a attention whore he is supposed to be or how he has a master-plan to seek attention and imply how he can't make a next game because of this just to say one day after this tweet how good the sales are on both platforms.

but seriously, your exxagerated crying over his twitter message is clearly a dirty move from you.

He's talking about revenue. Not absolute sales.

People whining about Blow whining for attention is very ironic.

That would mean that the people who whine about the people who whine about Blow whining are even worse, no?

If you say so. I've already addressed what I think about your logic to your opinion. Refer to previous message.

I can live with that as an answer.

Your sarcasm detector must be broken.

That is true but how much did Braid cost? $10? So The Witness could've sold 1/4 of Braid copies and made tha same amount of money. That is still an impressive number though.
