Sooo I've just heard news here and there about this game and one that I found pretty interesting is that the game has no sound effects or music, is it true ?

Oh, ok, that's good news, I was about to classify this as "the worst possible game for blind people" because no sound+puzzles is kinda hard for people in that condition :v

It's a shame because now other people will also attempt to sell a "file" for $40.00 as well.

Yet the guy still has to bitch about pirates. Classy.

You are forgetting that back when Braid released, he whined a lot as well. It's just how he is. Blow blows.

I use to follow him on Twitter but he was always bitching and whinning about everything, all the time, non-stop. After awhile, I was like, enough is enough and stopped following him. I think it's odd how Phil Fish is so hated and Blow isn't when they both seem like peas in a pod.

Great sales. 40$ for an indie puzzler was a gamble, but it seems that it payed off.

$40US is alot for an Indie game. I have gotten AAA games brand new(physical) for about the same on launch day. But I would much rather pay $40 for The Witness than another COD/AC/Destiny/Battlefield etc.

Totally agree. Lets hope that this will become the norm, and more indies will be able to afford this, and wont have to settle for sub 5$ price jut to be sure that their games sell. Not many indie games desevre 40$, but I have seen plenty weeks after release at 1$, that would have deserved even 20$. If the quality is there Im ready to pay the full price no matter if it is singleplayer only, or if it has sub-standard presentation.

Note: TW looks great, I am talking in general.

I'd gladly pay 20 bucks for indie games like Axiom Verge etc. if they were actually on a disc and not just files. That's my problem. If they're just going to be a file that is invisible and something that I can't hold in my hand/sit on my shelf, I won't buy it unless it's dirt cheap. And even then, I don't really end up playing them. My Steam account has Braid, Fez and Cave Story on it and each one has about 20 min of gameplay... and I've had them for years.

If these indies are going to start charging full price, they need to justify it with an actual physical product imo.

Well i've just purchased it, so peoples whining about him whining have got the guy an extra sale.... lolz :)

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

And what console did Braid start off on again? Hmmm, I just can't quite remember :P

Oh look, more entitled gamers that believe all Indies should be free. Have fun shelling out ridiculous amounts of cash for multiplayer only games, with over priced season passes and microtransactions!

People can spend their money how they see fit. Quit being a troll.

Oh man I hope that's enough to feed his family what with all the pirating.

Glad the game is selling well, by all accounts it is a fantastic game. But his crying about how bad piracy was making his situation look was clearly exaggerated for attention/sales.

He's like Phil Fish in that he makes it very hard for me to purchase his work and feel good about it.
