What did you dislike about it?

Restrictive map rotation.

Restrictive mode rotation.

No voice chat.

No pro controller support.

Terrible local multiplayer.

No split screen local multiplayer versions of online modes.

Only four online modes.

Poor friend invite system.

No pro controller support.

Can't switch load out mid match or during match making.

Can't view teammates' load outs during match making.

Can't adjust aim sensitivity mid match.

The aiming reticule isn't stationary.

Callie and Marie unskippable updates.

Weapons, armor, and single player content hidden behind Amiibo paywall.

Still criminally overpriced for the content provided. Splatoon doesn't need more weapons - It needs more maps and modes.

No pro controller support.

No pro controller support.

It actually blows my mind how mind-numbingly forgiving people have been with this game when any other game that still had this quantity of such severely crippling issues half a year off would have been ripped apart relentlessly. Mario Kart 8 wouldn't have lasted its first week if it launched in the condition that Splatoon is in currently.

Splatoon is more fun than Mario Kart (runs). The game is designed the way it is for a reason, to make it more open and accessible. There's a design focus here and the game IMO is better for it. Everyone has the same rules. I like the "just shut up and play" approach.

It's like complaining that Pokemon doesn't have the story or in depth systems of a Final Fantasy or Elder Scrolls game or something. Splatoon is not trying to be Call of Duty in the same way a Paper Mario game isn't trying to be Final Fantasy or Smash Brothers isn't trying to be Street Fighter.

I think the gameplay (running around/shooting) is amazing. But having played plenty of other shooters I have to agree with Spemanig on pretty much every point, in particular with the map rotation issue. I can't play Splatoon for any more than 20-30 minutes because it just gets boring playing the same 2 maps over and over until Nintendo graces us with 2 new maps to play.

Man, I had no idea Callie and Mari were that popular. Ninten's got some good new chars on their hands. I hope we'll see an expansion on this game. I'd liked to get more Splatoon later down the line xD

I bet Level 5 is like "where's the anime? Toys anyone?" and they're actually right. But who knows, we might be a direct or E3 away from more Splatoon stuff.

With the characters speaking a weird language, I wonder how that would even work. Though Gravity Daze is getting one and has a similar thing. If that can work out, Splatoon could work as well.. o:

The creator of Hunter X Hunter is playing it rather than finishing his fucking manga. :/

Fucking awesome mangaka, I put him tied up their with oda (one piece)

Unlike oda, the man literally dying to pls his fans, HxH author is a lazy fuck

I know, Oda is amazing. I think whats happening in the OP manga right now is a nod to HxH, which is my all time favorite anime.

My favorite 2! HxH 2012 anime is by far my favorite animation while OP is my favorite manga (anime suckx now)

My God this is my worst nightmare. For what ever reason I find the artstyle and character models in Splatoon to be repulsive. So seeing these two awkwardly dance in front of a large group of people who are actually WANTING to see them is beyond my comprehension.

Never expected Splatoon to have things like this..

Miku x Splatoon! That would be an awesome costume

I don't disagree with you on some of these... but dat gameplay. Unf!

Hopefully they can add much more of this stuff in the sequel.

This game needs an Anime asap. no matter if it's good or not, it'll blow in success in Japan.
Now that I thINK about it, everyone expects to see the Inklings in Smash 5 (which is a pretty safe bet) but I thINK that they could do even more: they could add Callie/Marie giving them Music-based attacks, not only it'd be original, but it'd be a fanservice as big as wolf's return...

I wonder how the creators of Hatsune Miku will react to this, if they'll embrace the SS (ok, I'll never shorten again Squid Sisters) making songs with them or if they'll try to blow out of competition the Squid Sisters...

Most of those are definitely legit things to dislike about Splatoon, but they haven't really bothered me ( the mode rotation is pretty dumb though). I think most of them will be fixed for the sequel.
