Even though I can see them porting Smash to NX mainly because of how involved it is in tournaments the console version has massed almost 5m and will likely on Wii U alone hit around 6-7m. The game paid for itself long ago.

I have 

Smash (N64) - 5.55 million

Smash Melee (GCN) - 7.41 mill

Smash Brawl (Wii) - 11 mill

Smash U - 4.05 mill (as of Oct 2015)

Nintendo has plenty of reason to want to release the Wii U version on NX. Looking at that list, I'd say a good 2-3 million reasons at least. 

 

Your making ssb4 into something it's not, and it's funny how your excluding the 3ds version like it's non existant. 

That said it'll be at least 5mil lifetime, your acting as if it did under 2mil.
