To be fair the XB1 also ticks some of those boxs, it's just that the PS4 ticks all of those boxes far more often and if you're on the market for a console it's clear which you would choose.
The PS5 Exists.

The "better exclusives" part depends on your tastes but I feel there is more variety on the PS4. I bought it a year ago and it was so easy to chose it over the xbox one. Besides... the PS4 is cheaper than the Xbox One here.

That's an easy question. The Ps4 is just better.

There are numerous reasons for that, but some of the most notable ones (in my opinion) include:
-Sony taking advantage of Microsoft's early marketing mistakes, which gave the PS4 momentum that still carries it today.
-More varied lineup of both existing and upcoming games. Basically, if you want to play most Japanese games not made by Nintendo, you better get a PS4 instead of an Xbox One.
-Stronger brand name and recognition outside the US.
-A larger existing player base. You're more likely to find other players online on the PS4 than the Xbox One. More players also means a higher chance of your friends being on that system.
There are many others as well, but those are perhaps the most significant reasons.

The PS4 is like 50% more powerfull graphics wise than the Xbox One.
That means 3rd party games look better & play better on the PS4.
PS4 has more games in general, that are much more diverse than the Xbox's offerings.*
Too many great games you cant play, if you get a Xbox instead of a playstation 4.
* JRPGs in general are a biggie for alot of people.
basically = More games, better games, better looking games.
I have both and they are not equal. The both have their ups and downs but I find myself screaming at the X1 more for not working properly. I'll stick to the PS4
