Yes. It was the best system for everything.
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.
I loved the techno soundtrack from Extreme-G very much because I listened to that kind of music back in the days. But my favorite racing game from that era was F-Zero X.
The N64 was and still is the best console for 4 player racing games, and it had a great variety of racers like karts, arcade, combat, futuristic, rally / sim, etc.
There's also some other great N64 racers not shown in the pic like F-1 World Grand Prix (probably the best F-1 racer of its time), Lego Racers, and San Francisco Rush 2049.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
No joke, around 20% of all titles on the N64 are racers.
There are some great racers on the N64. It was at a time when 3d was still in its infancy, and the graphics still have a certain charm to them.
Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Excitebike 64 and Cruis'n USA. Ahhh loved the racing N64 games.
By the way there's Destruction Derby 64.
Man, there are a lot more racers on the N64 than I remember. I'm more surprised to see Ridge Racer on there. That was one I always associated with Sony, after the infamous "Riiiiidge Raaceeeeeer!" scene.
As the best console for racing, maybe? It has quite a number of good ones. MK and Diddy Kong Racing were huge favs of mine.

I remember nearly all those games been simply rubbish esp compared to Gran truism, need for speed, ridge racer etc. But N64 was king for FPS and platformers.
Edit: my bad thought u was saying for 5th gen
