Hello everyone. 

I've been writing a video game related blog for a bit over a month now, and one of the things I write about is console and video game sales. On my most recent post I made predictions for the sales of the three main consoles and talked about the reasons for their success or lack thereof. Since this is a site focused largely on video game sales, I though you might find it interesting. 

So if you're interested take a look. What are your predictions for the consoles lifetime sales?

I'm a big fan of the xboxone but lets get real, it isn't selling 90 million units. the xbox360 never reached 90 mllion and that was with an 8 year lifecycle and domination over playstation 3 in the USA and UK. I would say 55 - 60 million is a more realistic target for the xboxone.

High numbers there... but it could happen. Who could have predicted the longevity of the previous generation.

Though I think the XOne is a bit high.

Xbox I think will hit 50-60 million. 70 is definitely too high

Too optimistic with Wii U and XB1

Yeah, I was intentionally being a bit generous with my estimates. They are all pretty much at the high end of things on where I expect the consoles to end up.

I think even 50m is too much for the Xbox ONE. I also doubt VGChartz's #s at 19 million. I think it's closer to 13-14 million right now. 

Right now, its NA LTD is 11.1 million. If the Xbone really sold 19m units, that would mean only 58% of its sales come from NA, which doesn't sound right. It's more likely than the Xbone's sales are alot more towards NA than the previous generation, since the ROW, particularly Europe, all ditched the Xbox brand.

I also predict the ONE's sales to start declining drastically this year, as this looks like a very front-loaded console. The 360 didn't have generous price drops and bundles in the first few years and is still keeping neck-and-neck with XBONE sales in the same timeframe. The ONE will probably sell 30 million - 40 million at the end, but VGChartz will incorrectly put it at 70 million.

Official numbers from microsoft will be the only way to truly know it's sales.

XB1 numbers are a bit high. 50~60m would be a more realistic guess like others stated.

Wii U could sell 15m by years end and 18ml byy the end of tis life but it wont sell 5ml this year.
X1 will sell 60ml life time and ps4 90ml.
