Forums - Nintendo - StarFox Zero possibly delayed to July 2016?

Apparently, French retailers are now listing the game for a 7/15 release. Maybe Europe only? Bad sign anyway.

i already tried telling people. they seem to care much.

Hopefully it's for EU only because I want it as soon as possible.

Thats kinda bad. Is the Wii U going to cross another 6 month desert? *shrugs*

I'd rather it not be rushed.

At some point, the line needs to be drawn between what we consider rushed and we consider to be a poorly done development schedule. If it is really going to take until July for the game to come out, then Nintendo has some serious work to do if they want to maintain any level of relevancy with their next console. Their development times are getting way too long, and although I appreciate that they want to primarily turn out polished products (even if some from last year were simply polished turds), being the primary developer for your console means that you have to do something to keep gamers busy. Delays are fine to an extent, but when you can no longer predict your development schedule to such a significant degree, it signals internal development issues, whether it be lazy programmers, slow programmers, or just a lack of defined direction.

The solution last year was budget titles like Kirby and Toad, but it doesn't seem that Nintendo really has any games like that in the pipe for these first six months to tide everybody over. Regardless of what people say is okay, a potential six month dry spell is seriously bad.

Indeed, six months is bad but it's Nintendo that pays the price in the end. Gamers can go elsewhere for their games.

It doesn't matter at this point though. Wii U is already dead, whether or not Starfox releases on time will make no difference, so that's why they may aswell take their time with it so we don't have another Ultra Smash.

Please tell me this is a bad joke..
