Actually, I wouldn't even go so far as to say the Wii has much RPG support in general. The only RPG I have for my Wii currently is Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. And it's a SRPG. Dragon Quest: Swords is a farce.

The Wii needs some RPG's in general...I'm aware they're some coming, but not many right now.

If there were, I'd own them.

Well it's getting some this year. ToS, FFCC,MH3,Opoona,Baroque,etc

ToS will probably be okay.

FFCC will be Wiiware and not quite like other RPGs.

MH3 is normally Japan centric - maybe good, maybe bad.

Opoona... looks pretty dumb actually. It could be a sleeper hit, but that's unlikely.

Baroque was already panned by at least one reviewer wasn't it?

Crystal Bearers There is also fragile and monster lab. That is only  announced ones.

Monster Lab is a PS2/Wii/DS game.  It should be assumed to be shovelware until proven otherwise.

Fragile is more of an action/horror game than an RPG isn't it?

NO it's considered an rpg. By the way monster lab looks it might be good enough for a rent at least. If I like it I might buy it.

Eh, whatever.  The last screens we saw of Fragile made it look like Zelda.

I'm telling you that looks a lot more like an Action/Horror game than an RPG.

I know.  I argued with Naznatips about this. It's supposed to be an RPG but until I see screens that look RPG-ish, I'm skeptical.

As a general rule, I hate western games and barely play them, but I like the Wii, so why not. Western support for the western lovers!

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

It looks like Dark Cloud, and that's an RPG. It looks GREAT either way though, lol.

I heard Dark Cloud was pretty awful... don't make that comparison.

That's a lot of western developers putting their western published games on the Wii. If anything, it's Japanese publishers that need to get on board. As far as western RPGs, you have Marvel Ultimate Alliance and it's future sequel, not much else yet. As far as First Person Shooters, there's been 7-8 of them with 2 being worthy of purchase. I can understand your desire for more of those two genres, but it seems western developers are the ones putting support behind the Wii, no matter how bad quality some of these games are. I tried not to list anything that was obviously shovelware, just whatever good and mediocre games these developers made that aren't categorized as casual, so no minigames or child oriented games. Pray for more Japanese development, or pray for BETTER western development.

Um most of those games are either ports or not too good. NOw look at consoles like the ps3 and 360 and the western games are actually good.

If you look at your post, you never once mention you want better western support. Your original post was about there being too many Japanese published/developed games and not enough western ones and you wanted more western published/developed games. Nowhere in there did you mention quality, or ports. I merely showed you that western publishers are behind the Wii for better or worse. If you meant you want quality then you should make a new post because this post has nothing to do with that. Just look at the title "The wii needs more western support". It doesn't say BETTER, it says MORE.
