Forums - Gaming - Games you'd like to have a prequel

Do you have any of those?

Maybe the story of a game/franchise teased some stuff, some backstory that could be fleshed out into a game?

Maybe you would like to see the story of how characters came to be?

What game(s) would you like to have a prequel entry?

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

GRAND THEFT AUTO SAN ANDREAS! I EVEN MADE A THREAD ABOUT A WEEK AGO ON IT.

C&C, as in the first one that took place in the semi future but still didn't give us the complete skinny on Kane from the past.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Well, there doesn't seem to be any interest in a warcraft RTS as they are progressing the storyline in the mmo, but I wouldn't mind seeing them make an rts based in draenor pre-portal or perhaps the war of the ancients...

There's actually a lot of stretches in the timeline that would have a great story, multiple recognizable factions, and could use a little in-game representation outside of the novels.

Otherwise, I'm having some trouble thinking of any for some reason... I've forgotten their names but I always thought it might be cool to see the younger Auron, Jact and such from FFX. Sticking with final fantasy, I think a direct prequel to Final Fantasy tactics covering that War of the Lions that (if I recall correctly) lasted some 50 years and Ramza's father would be cool.

I always thought it would be fun to play during the era of Tiber Septim in Elder Scrolls, either helping him to establish the empire or assisting the various different native races in resisting, but I suspect the sheer scope of that game is simply too large to ever be a reality. Strangely, all of the major games have taken place rather late within its own timeline (all post-third era), a bit like warcraft in that regard, so there's plenty to explore.

Sonic the Hedgehog from the megadrive, at a point before when Dr. Ivo Kintobor and the Brown Sonic are just in the lab to see what their world was like and who were the heroes/villains of Mobius which had Kintobor risk his life/sanity and animal friends to try experiments to try to fight.

The main reason I'd love this series to go for a prequel tho... no matter how shit it turns out, it is still going to be better than the rubbish they're doing with the franchise right now.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Red Dead Redemption - one when playing as John Marston, the other playing as Landon Ricketts

Uncharted - with sully as the main character, before he met Drake.

Farcry 3 - you play as Vaas.
