Hopefully you're not serious.

http://www.techlicious.com/guide/six-android-phones-with-great-battery-life/

The HTC one Maz can do 25 hours and is $230 and pretty powerful. The 3ds launched with $250 price point. I could see Nintendo adopting the parts from phones for the NX handheld.

Yeah, good luck trying to play games on these devices for 24 hours (or even 8 hours) without running out of power!

These 21 - 29 hours of your URL are talk time (making phone calls with the display off and the SoC idling).

Here is how these phones behave, if they have to render and display a video game with demanding graphics: 3 - 4 hours.

With light-weight games like Ace Attorney, Professor Layton, visual novels or turn-based RPGs the battery time will be better (probably 5 - 8 hours), because the SoC can go into idle mode more often, but that's it.

Wtf, the 3DS and WiiU batteries are garbage
No wonder they die so damn quick.
Anyway if it can achieve say 6 hours under heavy load (max brightness, WiFi etc.) then I'd be happy I guess.

That's a difficult balance. History says that battery life is second perhaps only to the exclusive games themselves in importance when it comes to handhelds... It seems anything under 4 hours just about dooms it. Many technically superior handhelds have been sunk by short battery life as, after all, the whole point is for it to be portable.

If they really want to make the handheld capable of running games akin to what will be on their main console, though, that could prove very difficult while maintaining a reasonable price... Perhaps the home console is weaker than most expect?

Very curious to see how this plays out.

Nintendo would be a laughing stock, if they went that route. If the NX can't be equal to a PS4, in basic power. You might as well go into a caged lion.

While we're on the topic of batteries and stuff, I want the NX to use USB type C for charging, rather than Nintendo's own proprietary component. It would make finding a charger much easier, and having used it on my Nexus 6P for a few months now, I've been impressed by how fast it works.

Great point.
