I knew when I saw your name and the title of this thread that you would somewhere to say that the xbox one and pc are the same platform. That's just very wishful thinking. If a game is both PS4 and pc exclusive (console exclusive) can it be played on a xbox one? No. Can a xbox one play steam games? No. Can the xbox one play any pc game? No, it can't and it never will.

The only reason why someone like the op would be trying to paint pc and xbox one as one platform is because they know the xbox one's game library is falling short compared to the competition and they have fluff the numbers to make it look better.

Probably one should tell the op that the esram library is no part of dx12. So anything written on a pc, out of the gate, even with dx12, will run like shit on the XBox One. The esram still is a hurdle to overcome because it is not "in the mindset" of pc programmers.

Of course MS pr is continuing the "If it's dx12 on the pc, it runs on pc _and_ X1" song. Those developers who believe that have a rude awakening. Those developers who have the time and skills know better.

If xbox is a pc the ps4 is a pc aswell

Microsoft needs to remember what the Xbox brand was supposed to do in the console market. They jumped in with the most power which was supposed to be similar to the quality of PC gaming on a console. Now they just try to mimic Sony's Playstation which is probably why we refer to them as the twins. Bungie was a huge factor for them but now is gone exclusively so there are not as many reasons to get an Xbox One when you can play these games with greater fidelity on a Sony or a PC. Really wish I could get Forza 6 on Steam though. :P

Long story short, building a powerhouse console would have made the Xbox One sell more.
