Why did you choose the ''no one''?  Nihilistic comment... They will be people who will buy wii u, of course if Nintendo still products it after NX release, wii u  will probably get a price drop after nx disclosure, and it has never had a pricedrop... (No, 32gb version going from 349 to 299, due to 8gb version abolishment which was costing 299, isn't really a  price cut, you could all along buy a wii u at 299, common sense)...

Also, we don't know if the successor will have a backward compatability... Gamecube not having backwards compatability for N64 meant bigger legs for N64..

Lastly, your comment (obviously by saying: No one e.t.c) expresses anger-which translates into a jab towards wii u- in case of NX being released in 2017 instead of 2016 as you avidly want... I don't get it!

I'm a 2017 believer ( Mainly if it's about to replace wii u, because for 3ds I wouldn't be surprised if it gets replaced in 2016, or if it's for both I can see handheld device in 2016 and home device in 2017)!  Why do you care so much if you will be refuted about NX release ( generally, people from both sides), regarding wii u replacement? Personally If I'll be wrong, I won't care at all...  You hurting your own mentality for an insignificant thing, a release date, people from both sides do that (but as it seems , from the 2016 side is very louder), it's  unfathomable...

I think you get the point, I didn't mean *literally* no one, but from a market POV, Wii U is likely done once people see the NX. It's already selling poorly and having its successor unveiled is pretty much the nail in the coffin. People still buy the PS3 or heck I'm sure somewhere, someone is still buying a GameCube today.

NX will release in 2017. Just watch.

RIP Wii U... 2016 games where? are nintendo just planning to have nothing for the Wii U all of 2016? if its not because they are launching a new console....

Then I dont know what to say.... thats kinda sh*tty of nintendo.

Where were the games of GC in 2005? Was wii released in 2005?... No, it was revealed at e3 under it's own codename   (revolution),  while it was  teased in 2004, it was released after 1 year and a half or 6 months later, after the official unveiling at E3..
Where were the games of N64 in 2000? Was gc released in 2000? ...

Also, there is a pretty good lineup of games when considering the offerings for the Wii U. It actually looks stronger than 2015. Zelda Wii U, Shin Megami X Fire Emblem, Star Fox, Pokken Tournament, Twilight Princess HD. Indies include Mighty No 9 and Bloodstained.

2015 had Splatoon, Mario Maker, Fatal Frame, and Xenoblade X. Indies include Fast Racing Neo (and arguably Minecraft because it's the Mojang version and not the updated version).

Opinions may vary though, I doubt anyone could say it is going to be worse.

Splatoon is going to be the platform defining game for the Wii U, so that will always be looked at as the peak.

To be honest I don't know what the hell Nintendo was thinking with SMT x Fire Emblem, it looks awful and flopped even in Japan. Not sure what they expect that to do here.

Last year had Yarn Yoshi, Kirby, Devil's Third, as well.

Splatoon (while an absolutely AMAZING game that deserves every sale it got) is also a very flawed game as well. It just so happened that it has changed the concept of the shooter SO much that it is drawing in their demographic. It will by far be recognized as their most successful new IP, but far from the Wii U swan song.

Sure SMT  X FE flopped in Japan, but so does the Persona series, and the game.... Looks like a Persona mixed with Atlus' take on Fire Emblem characters. Bayo also flopped, but I think anyone who has played that game would hardly call it a bad game.

Other than that, out of the rest of the games I "forgot" (or would it be more like not even worth mentioning), the only point I could give you would be Yoshi's Wooly World, which would only bring the total games to around the exact amount the Wii U has coming out in 2016. Plus I expect a few more smaller titles around the same level of budget and scope to be announced or probably even anounced and I'm just not thinking about them.

Point is 2016 has roughly the same lineup as every year. Not really better or worse.

Weren't there rumors that IS and Atlus couldn't agree on what direction to take the game so they all just said screw it and Atlus just made Persona with some Fire Emblem skins?

Personally If I'll be wrong, I won't care at all...  You hurting your own mentality for an insignificant thing, a release date, people from both sides do that (but as it seems , from the 2016 side is very louder), it's  unfathomable...

So, I misunderstood you?

Still, you wordiage could be different...

Wii was  teased in 2004 and was revealed under it's codename revolution at E3 2005,  with a release date on holidays 2006...

That didn't stop gc selling, and it had its price dropped in 2002 by 50$ and again by 50$ in 2003, which made it to sell fast, it sold the 60%  of its lt sakes then... Wii u hasn't get any price drop.

Of course, NX revelation if it's about replacing wii u,  it's fairly expected that it would hurt its sales, I wouldn't risk to predict at what extend because of the fact that wii u hasn't get any price drop, and If it gets, I don't dare to prejudge either no effect or considerable effect! With wii u you never know!  Look what mainly splatoon along with super mario maker did for the wii u in Japan this year, with NX been teased...

Also, you didn't comment on the backwards compatability part? Do you agree, that no wii u backwards compatability on nx would mean biggers legs for the wii u? I gave you the N64-> GC paradigm!

Sorry but by legs I don't mean longevity, but the size of sales in the first years after being replaced/successor being teased/revealed...So with my own definition, it had legs...
