2015 had Splatoon, Mario Maker, Fatal Frame, and Xenoblade X. Indies include Fast Racing Neo (and arguably Minecraft because it's the Mojang version and not the updated version).
Opinions may vary though, I doubt anyone could say it is going to be worse.

Splatoon is going to be the platform defining game for the Wii U, so that will always be looked at as the peak.
To be honest I don't know what the hell Nintendo was thinking with SMT x Fire Emblem, it looks awful and flopped even in Japan. Not sure what they expect that to do here.
Last year had Yarn Yoshi, Kirby, Devil's Third, as well.

Weren't there rumors that IS and Atlus couldn't agree on what direction to take the game so they all just said screw it and Atlus just made Persona with some Fire Emblem skins?
