I'm pretty sure Recore will get delayed also.

Already happened, also today. From spring to 2016 to just "2016".

Well say that one coming from a mile away since they still haven't shown any actual gameplay of it.  Quantum Break might get another small delay also.  The only X1 exclusive that will be solid when it comes to hitting its release date once it actually gets announced will be Forza Horizon 3 since they can get help from Turn 10 if they need some extra resources.

When I first heard about this game I thought it had been in the works for a long time, bought an XB1 in 2014 mainly for this game, turns out it's coming 2 years longer than I expected...

That's what happens when the game is announced too soon.

I think this is more strategic than anything. The holidays are simply too packed to have this go against Microsoft's other games. So I think it is for the better.

Outside of Gears of War, what games are you speaking of?

Yeah, not surprised. Platinum is stretched way too thin and the game was running like crap when it was shown.

Also, let the record show that the first 2016 game that was delayed to 2017 wasn't a PS4 game.

I think it's for the better. MS rushing games has led to a lot of slow sales, as seen with Halo...

Sounds reasonable, it's always better to have the game released when the developer feel satisfied with the end product.

This.

This game was never going to release this year if ever.MS only showed it so early because of desperation and attention.I don't get the hype anyway as the game looks no more than average just like all of the games from Platinum.

At least it's not Final Fantasy Versus XIII/FFXV...

No ideas here. Supposedly, they have unannounced games and I've seen a few clips of some good games around that just seemed to vanish without a release date, so they might know something we don't know...

The Xbox One lineup looks completley lucklaster and sparse now to be honest. So we only get Gears 4 and Quantumbreak?

Its looking like that. Lets hope to the gods that Crackdown 3 ends up being a hit.

Good I wasn't planning to get an xbone in 2016.
Definitely looking forward to playing it in 2017.

So...so you mean like a Sunset Overdrive situation where they announced it at E3 and it launched months after? I think Sony is going to legitimately own 2016 in terms of exclusives. Last Guardian, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank,  Street FIghter 5 and Horizon all in the same year. Damn. This ontop of lower budget titles.

^ No, like they simply have announced titles with no release dates (and those release dates are this year)...

The first delay was announced 4 days into the new year. Damn.
