Lol, if you say so.

I agree with Darwinianevolution.

The casual crowd supposedly doesnt know the difference between a Wii and a Wii U, much less an upcoming console which codename is NX.

At this point, i could say that the PS VR is more awaited than the NX, just because of the fact that more people are aware of it.

The upcoming Sony CES Conference will cement the expectations among the fanbase and also the casuals who want to experiment with Virtual Reality.

CES is more mainstream than E3.

Essentially this.

Go up to 20 gamers and ask them if they have heard about the NX and the vast majority will say no.  Most of them don't even know about the Wii U...

PlayStation is exploding right now. Crash a dead ip coming back to PlayStation 4 would be huge compared to zelda that's always been around and already been announced and releasing on a console that sales wise is performing badly.

The buzz for crash would be bigger than the buzz for Shenmue and I'd be very surprised if the zelda buzz this E3 is bigger than last year's Shenmue buzz.

LoZ will more than likely be bigger than Shamnue. Shemnue to this date hasn't got to the 10 mil mark it was hoping to achieve. It is a HUGE reveal and I'm grateful it's happening even on a console I don't own (but I do eventually get them all), but bigger than LoZ?...

Yes bigger in terms of E3 hype as that's what we're talking about here, the hype and social media engagement for Shenmue 3 at E3 was bonkers. Do you really thing LoZ E3 will out do hundreds of reaction videos of people losing their shit? There's a 4 hour reaction compilation on YouTube.

Instead of making a thread with a question to seek an answer you made a thread with your answer already decided.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Ah yeah.Sony will have more games to announce while Nintendo will show an unappealing console which will fail like the WiiU.Just because a new console is announced does not equal a great announcement when said console is full of skepticism.

These threads seem to prove the point that Nintendo fans secretly cant wait for the Wii U to be replaced I don't hear Playstation or Xbox fans constantly asking about the PS5 or X2. People really need to be happy with what they have. If they're really so desperate for something new there are other platforms available to them besides just Nintendo.

I'm hoping the NX reveal is better than the Wii U reveal. Jesus that was embarrassing. And given Nintendo's recent history I wouldnt put it past them to pull something similar. Then again there really is no "winner" to E3. Is there? I mean, I don't pay careful attention but do they announce who won?

Well, to be honest NX is the only thing keeping these gaming forums alive, lol. Nothing else is really all that exciting. I think for the past month this websites biggest threads (as far as responses) have been about The Force Awakens.

As far as whether or not if they "announce" who won, the people at E3 don't, but boy the media sure does.

Well, this website is mainly populated by nintendo fans so anything nintendo related gets a lot of responses. I don't post in those often.

Well, I certainly can't base an answer off of a game that revealed last year. Lol. Even if we were to believe Shemnue 3 was a bigger announcement it's already been done.

Yep, Sony will have games to announce at E3..... And so will Xbone and Wii U and NX and 3DS, and hell, maybe even the Vita too if we are lucky.

But it's the exact reason that people are going to approach the NX with skepticism that it may be the thing that is the real show stealer at E3.

VR is in no way on the same hype level as the NX, let's be serious.

Errrr in the real world, casual gamers and the general gaming public tend to not give a shit about either at the moment.

I would disagree, but we'll see in June.

And most didn't know about the gamecube, or were really put off by it, and then the Wii happened.

The moral of the story (imo) is that you CANT rely on the casuals to have a suscessful console. The Wii captured people that just werent gamers with the move gimmick, as soon as the fad went away, they went away too, hence the Wii U sales.

Apart from the Wii, which (imo) was a one in a lifetime moment for Nintendo, each Nintendo Home Console have been selling less than the previous, that is the message that Nintendo have to realize.

Revealing the NX is not enough. They also have to bring to the stage tons and tons of third parties, while it is not so exciting for the show factor, it will give the gamers the message that they are hoping with the 3rd parties this time, which indeed can win the show for them.

Nintendo CANT rely on first party, they just cant.

However, if they make a console that's as powerful as the PS4 or more powerful, with a handheld that matches it (since rumours say it's a hybrid device), then Nintendo can very easily partner up with one of the VR brands. In fact Nintendo might then be the only developer with a handheld console that can do VR.

WTF am I even reading...

You know how often people that play games risk missing their bus or train stop? putting on a VR helmet inside a bus/train is just asking for problems.

Also whos going to want to carry around a helmet for gameing on the go? yeah.... thats a big no no.

VR + handheld doesnt work, its a use at home sort of deal only.

Also I really doubt theres any handheld powerfull enough (now or in near future) to run real VR with a helmet.

Yeah, I don't mean playing at bus stops or whilst driving to work. You also forget that many mobile phones are designed to work with VR and there are already apps and games out there. It may not be the best VR but it still is a form of experiencing VR. Nintendo can do the same.

I can imagine a Mario Maker that you can take with you by syncing your save onto a handheld and then going to your friends house where you can all plug in and work on it together.

Yes, I know they could do it online to, but I imagine Ninty will want to encourage friends and family physically getting together playing party games etc.
