Forums - Gaming - 2015's worst game company/developer

Konami, EA and Ubisoft. There was a time when I loved them, but that time is long gone.

Around the Network

It has to be Konami. Not even Activision would be at the top position even if they tried. With the sudden cancellation of PT, the shift to pachinko games, the Farmville style of microtransactions, the unceremoniously way of firing Kojima, the bullshitting (Kojima on a vacation, my ass), the horrible way they handled public relations, just to top it off with a huge middle finger to everyone by not letting Kojima attend The Game Awards to pick up the award. It's the worst kind of a fall from grace when you can open the parachute, but you decide not to.

EA, Ubisoft and Square Enix have all had their blunders this year.
Between the online multiplayer only, content stripped, and hideously overpriced Battlefront, mediocre Rainbow six siege, whose worst offense is that it just looks like every other ubisoft game ever, besides offering no additional content for being multiplayer only and the Deus Ex preorder scheme and Tomb Raider deal respectively, none of these companys exactly had a stellar, consumer friendly year.

They are all very lucky that Konamis bullshit just overshadows everything else right now. Them preventing Kojima from picking up his award at the Game Awards has to take the cake.

Telltale Games.

Why?

Konami. I haven't seen a company act so childish and petty like this before.

I'm not sure if there's ever been a more obvious choice for this accolade than Konami in 2015. Between the treatment of Kojima, the pachinko machines based on beloved video game franchises, the treatment of its own employess and who knows what else, this isn't even a competition.

There's the usual suspects of EA, Ubisoft, Activision and Warner Bros, but none of them reached quite as hard and with seemingly infinite tenacity towards being as shitty as humanly possible. What Konami did this year a takes special kind of determination to screw over just about anyone who ever cared about the company and their classic franchises. So, well done Konami.

Konami isnt a gaming company anymore. I give it to EA

Their games are getting worst with each new series. Game of Thrones had almost zero gameplay, Minecraft Story Mode has a very generic plot, and their communication with their fans is beyound awful.

Konami, with their lack of humility and self-awareness.

Konami. No discussions here.
