Well, Nintendo winning E3 2006 was part of the reason they're now the market leader in current gen consoles with the rep they were able to build up. Remember how Sony considerably fucked up, well that's whats helped put them in the position they're slowly rebuilding from.

Simply put, Nintendo NEED to 'win' E3 this year to keep the momentum going with the media and with that the consumers, I think they know this and I think they're gonna pull out some huge stops to really impress! If they do that and put a good show on like they did back when Miyamoto came on stage and composed to Wii Music (come on, you know they won it from that moment on!), then they're set for another year!

Sony and MS will be the heated battle. I don't know why, and I have no justification for this, but I just feel that MS might be having some big weapons up their sleeve, maybe software or hardware wise?

Simply because its trailor has made me a fan of FF XIII, that is all. Also because its hyped to be one of the biggest PS3 games.

The way I see it, Sony and Microsoft's E3 line-ups will be made up (mostly) of titles that were announced in 2005/2006 and sequels to games that have already been released; Nintendo will (certainly) have the most "surprise" games with many large unexpected announcements from third party publishers.

Did they? I don't recall. What was their big announcment. I do remember all three companies sucking it up last year. I also don't think anyone performed exceptionally well.

I would venture to guess that is Sony did win last year, it was due to LBP and their 2008 lineup.

I certainly believe it wasn't due to their 2007 lineup.

So, this year, I believe that the winner won't win based on their 2008 lineup. Wouldn't you agree?

Actually Sony's 2007 lineup did contribute quite a bit to their E3 07' showing. New IP's like Heavenly Sword, Uncharted:Drakes Fortune and Lair were heavily advertised.

Nintendo won last year easily, with Wii Fit and Mario kart in the show.

This year the victory will be even louder, expect them to unleash a lot of surprises for the second half of 2008.

Sony has been hyping the same games since the last year, i doubt they have a lot more of new stuff to show.


Fatal frame 4, Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus, Pikmin 3, Disaster day of crisis, Wii Music, Mario baseball + extra stuff = Nintendo FTW :O)

E3 this year will be nothing like the past years...

It also really depends on how the developers and publishers view the E3 this year. It's getting smaller and smaller. GDC and Tokyo is the more important one of the two now some publishers have claimed.
Let's see how this E3 will hold up.

 That is such an incredibly shallow reason.  You saw a minute CGI video, no gameplay, no idea of the story, gameplay, anything.  You have no history of the series even and now you're running saying its the bestest game ever?
