Forums - Nintendo - Prediction: This Year Nintendo "Wins" E3(hear me out)

@zenfolder

after seeing the HUGE response GT 5 prologue is getting...I don't think it will be the lowest selling game

Also the PS3 having a 10 million userbase when FFX released I DO NOT think FFXIII will be the lowest selling (of the PS ones)

also I think FFXII wasn't "liked" that much so word of mouth was bad

also there is a WOW factor when a franchise first appears ona nex-gen system

this is why GT 4 sold less than GT 3, and MGS3 sold less that MGS2

@darth

WTF does me playing Final fantasy have to do with this?

I disagree to be honest Zen, MKWii and SSBB have come and gone.

I do disagree with your statement, and no I am not trolling in anyway, I am just disagreeing with nintendo winning E3.

Its not impossible that gameplay would be shown in E3 this year, sure it can suck, but it can also be amazing. We have to consider the positives as well.

As for my statement regarding what I posted, I do believe FF XIII is a big enough game to smash anything sony, nintendo, or micrsoft can show.

It can be the talk of the show, graphics alone would make that possible. Just imagine if it manages to look exactly like the CGI.

That's fine, I completely agree with you that my prediction could be wrong about Nintendo winning.

However, my gripe is this:

You seemed to act like you knew for a fact that XIII would "blow away" every other game that went against it, when in fact, the chances of that are slim to none. Some of us fanboy out over Final Fantasy, but the gameplay is deep and its high quality is often not readily apparent.

No demo of XIII will have nearly as big of an impact on the news stories as a new Zelda game would, that's just the nature of the "big surprise" type announcment a new Zelda game would have, without ever even comparing the popularity of the two games.

Saying that XIII winning E3 for Sony is possible, but its such a random, and unlikely event, that its like saying, "Well that game Fatal Frame 4 will win the show for Nintendo because the gameplay will be the best ever seen."

I mean, it's possible that something like that could happen, but its such an outside the rim chance that its barely even worth bringing up.

E3 is won by newsworthy announcments, or simply "big surprises." FFXIII is already very, very hyped.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

After Nintendo's lackluster showing at last years E3, whatever occurs this year, it will no doubt be an improvement.

As for winning E3? I'm not so sure.

They're really going to have to make some huge surprise announcements, and bring some big titles to the show to outdo Sony.

I'm ruling Microsoft out of the running, purely because one of their biggest titles (Gears Of War 2) was already announced at GDC.

Did you read my post? Winning E3 is about new announcments, not big games. Nobody is gonna win E3 off currently announced 2008 lineups.

What you said is such a fanboy comment. It disgusts me.

@leo-j

there is a reason you must be anticipating an FF game so much..

if you've NEVER played an FF before, why are you anticipating it so much..

I'm basing my assumptions mostly on newly announce 3rd party games.

Sony won e3 last year, tell me why? We also saw wii fit being announced something new which suprised many. Though why did sony win? Was it because they showed gameplay of a highly hyped game? Answer my question.
