I had to ask for a LOT of favor to get it. But yes, Crisis Core is officially at retail stores and I got my copy.

 The Box:

I liked my Japanese limited edition box a lot better, it's the monochromatic look to it since it foreshadow the end. Also, the picture of Zack on the NA box looks a bit dorky.

 Inside the box:

Nothing special, English/French manual, some SE registration paper. UMD is securely locked in there... No more LO horror.

 The game:

Looks and feels a little different than the Japanese version.. mostly because the main attack button is moved from "O" to "X". It threw me off the first battle but it's essentially the same.

 But what is different is that now you get a "hard" mode. I stuck with Normal Mode for now so I can reply the game again after I finish.

 Maybe it's just my imagination, but the monsters are more vicious in NA version. They tend to attack you more freqently than it did in Japanese version.

Voice-over wasn't that great either. In some of the Limit-break, I was very attempted to turn the volume off since it gets painful. I perfer the Japanese VO a lot better.

 But on the plus side, the store makes A LOT of sense finally.

 

Must buy to all PSP owner. Please get yourself a copy of the game. it's only 40 bucks and support AAA game development on PSP

Well... 9.3 for Japanese version. and 8.9 for English version.

"Random" combat (you will get what I mean if you play the game) is still buggy, I get stuck in one place 3 times because they couldn't tell I JUST fought them already.

Mostly for stupid voice-over. It's  not as bad as some anime, but there are parts you just feel that they didn't put enough effort into it. Angeal is good, Genesis is great, Sephiroth is FANTASTIC. Zack is pathetic.

 I haven't gotten to Cloud yet, but Tifa is by Rachel Leigh Cook, so I expect her to be great.

Does it have choice to choose japanese language wtih english subtitles?

 unfortunatly, no, I looked everywhere for it, it's not there.

 

Also, the English text looks weird. they used such a strange font.

lol, had my last test yesterday so I'm free for a bit. :P

Wow, actually knowing what you get for each mission makes it a bit less boring. :), I'm becoming quite a materia-whore. ;)

It's probably not just you King. Since the SNES era there has been a pattern of Square and i believe a couple other companies making the Japanese versions of games easier then their American counterparts.

Right around Final Fantasy 6 I belive. FF4 actually being easier then 6. 6 being harder and having things like those 8 Dragons which japanese playtesters deemed too hard.
